Yes. In May 2023 a civil jury found Donald Trump liable for sexual abuse of E. Jean Carroll (not rape under NY law) and awarded $5 million. He was a private citizen then, not the sitting president. The verdict was upheld on appeal; the Supreme Court declined review in June 2026. He is the current president.

NEW: Trump erupted after learning that his former lawyer Alina Habba had landed a four-year contract worth more than $50 million with a company founded by the daughter of Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini, who was seeking a pardon from Trump at the time.
Trump has reportedly told aides that Habba should donate part of the money to his future presidential library or another Trump-related entity
