Pittsburg Police Department, California retweeted
Capt. Phil Galer, 25-year veteran, named next @PittsburgPD chief. (He's not to be confused w/identical twin brother, @PittsburgPD Lt. Les Galer)
Chief Steve Albanese announced his retirement after 29 years of service, including 3.5 years as Pittsburg’s 10th Chief of Police. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, his leadership focused on professionalism, community partnerships, and reducing crime to a five-year low.
It is a privilege to honor the dedicated men and women of the Pittsburg Police Department, who serve our community with pride and integrity. We are truly grateful for your commitment every single day, and today, on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!!
