In an era that's filled with heavy hatred and fear of 'Ai', we gotta talk about how it seems that the Sonic franchise actually humanises Ai/Robots. This panel from the IDW 2018 annual is one among the many instances. Emerl from Sonic Battle. Even the idea of Shadow being an 'Android' is an interesting one. And recently, Sage from Sonic Frontiers.
While many tend to say Sonic is about nature vs technology, and while the earlier games seem to give off that basic impression, the relationship between nature and machine looks to be very nuanced.
At many times in Sonic, it wants to give the idea that machine can be human just like us, even if they comprise of 'code'. What do you all think about this?
