Jumped into @LastCaretaker last night and wow, the beauty and atmosphere is amazing so far.
I did die on the boat the first night. Eels from the platform bumrushed my boat
Go to steam right now, sort by Hours Played and post your top 10. I'll start. Two out of the top ten are effectively dead to me.

Some days you're the hammer, other days you're the nail.
Know what I mean @PlaySnowRunner?
Your 2026 vTuber of the year candidate everyone.
@theburntpeanut has that award locked down with clips like these every night.
One of my biggest problems with Wicked was how character progression and build felt a bit scattered. This is going to be a huge improvement.
It has been nothing short of incredible to read through all the excitement and feedback about the Wicked Inside. 1.0 is for you. 🤟

It's a shame it's come to this @ScumGame.
It had such good bones 5 years ago and all of that potential has been stripped away and squandered for a DLC revenue chase that will ultimately kill the game and the company that built it.
@splashdamage I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.
We have difficult news to share today. Our statement is below.
Development of SCUM will continue. Please give our colleagues some space as they process the news.

ALT A difficult decision has been made to reduce the size of the Gamepires team, which means saying goodbye to colleagues who’ve helped shape SCUM and the studio. This step is necessary to help Gamepires adapt to challenging market conditions and support its long-term sustainability. This is a business decision, not a judgement on the team’s work. We thank those leaving for everything they’ve put into SCUM and contributed to Gamepires. We remain committed to SCUM. Development will continue, with further updates and new content to come.
Gaming on my phone isn't for me (I have old eyes) but putting No Mans Sky on mobile is amazing work from @hellogames and @NoMansSky.
I'll likely buy it just to support these crazy bastards (so they can ship Light No Fire!).
Well done Sean and team!

No Man's Sky iOS Deep Dive
Built from the ground up for touch controls! Remarkable battery life and thermodynamics. On iPhone 11 and above, and just under 4GB Releasing on October 28. Pre-order from the Apple App Store today.
The details for the Arc Raiders PvE Test (Oct 13th - 20th) are out and they look pretty good.
Arc being able to target you while downed is the right change, love it.
Lowering loot values or locking out certain modes is questionable.
People wanted PvE and stopped playing in general. You're not going to get them to come back in significant numbers if you give them a watered down version of the game they want to play without being ratted by unemployed sweats.

I really love what @thomasmahler has built with videogamescritic.com/. Does it help me accept that NRFTW 1.0 is delayed? NO 😆but it's a pretty amazing resource.
Thomas, let me know how I can get involved. It's missing a lot of games and I wanna be able to add 'em.
It's been a few weeks since videogamescritic.com went live, so here's what it actually does now, and why I think it's a better tool than what we've had:
Metacritic and OpenCritic do one thing well: They tell you what critics thought in launch week.
That doesn't really make a to of sense in modern times anymore. Games change, so the score should too.
So VideoGamesCritic treats a rating as a living thing:
• The VGC Score updates as the game does. 120k+ patches classified, and reviews written after a real patch count the most. No Man's Sky launched at 48 with players. It sits at 82 today. Cyberpunk went from 72 to 85. Meaning, you see how good a game is now, not how the game at launch was that you can't even play anymore.
• Players hold at least two thirds of the verdict, by rule. Press informs the score, it can't outvote the people who bought the game. Nearly 2.5 million player reviews weighed, and not equally: Refund-Window Drive-Bys and Review Bombs count less.
• Every game shows the gap between critics and players, and which outlets called it right. Launch vs now, critics vs players, and a month-by-month timeline with every patch marked.
• The reviewers get reviewed too. 1,070 outlets and creators rated on how well their scores track what players ended up thinking, across 465,000+ press reviews.
• Best Deals across Steam, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Xbox Store sorted by the games rating
• Developer and publisher boards and a luminaries section that features everyone who shaped gaming
• Estimated Steam sales for every game
• Everything is a published formula over public data. No editorial thumb on the scale, no numbers and /methodology shows the whole recipe.
• There's a public JSON API, and a living VGC Seal of Quality developers can put on their store page that updates with the number.
14,628 games tracked so far, and counting.
If that sounds useful, have a look, and tell me what's missing! 👍❤️

This shit gets posted as if we can't see the price history.
The 4TB version of this drive was sub $300 a year ago and now the "slashed" price is $750 with a $1350 MSRP.
Samsung 9100 Pro SSDs slashed up to 41% while supplies last — huge price cuts hit all capacities from 1TB to 8TB tomshardware.com/pc-componen…
They are adding the ability to buy in-game money with real money in Tarkov.
I think that's a bad idea.
Holy crap, @IndustryCaptain has their hooks in me DEEP!
I’m a huge fan of @factoriogame and @SatisfactoryAF but Captain of Industry is scratching an itch I didn’t even realize I had!
The terraforming system I think is the secret sauce for my brain.
Looks like Jagex got caught using AI art in the most recent trailer for RuneScape 3.
They’ve since removed the video after people spotted this 6 fingered knight.
It’s one thing to use AI art, it’s another to do zero checking of that art. Any human looking at this would have easily noticed this error.
KRAFTON has shut down development on their PUBG Black Budget extraction shooter.
IMO extraction shooters peaked last year with ARC Raiders and now that the masses have experienced the game loop, they've realized it's not a good long term genre to commit their time to.
As much as I enjoy Project Zomboid gameplay, I think it's a disaster of a product overall.
The fact that I can't run a vanilla game on a Ryzen7 9800X3D + 5080 + 32GB RAM without stutter or hitching when moving tile to tile is crazy.
It's a great game, built terribly. 😕
