Let’s do a quick recap about the Zeta Set Secret Lair situation regarding Pauper
> A small portion of the Secret Lair gets leaked
> “oh shit Baleful strix is common”
> People ask Gavin Verhey if Strix and the other commons are legal
> Gavin says no
> The community ask Wotc to make them legal
> This Tuesday Wotc said no again inside an official statement
> Yesterday Wotc reverted the decision out of the blue
> This morning @GoatBots said that there is some kind of inside trading regarding Pauper and PFP
> People still complaining about Guttersnipe
What a week for Pauper

Now more than ever, announce Pauper Precons with a fixed €50 price for stores.
It would help stabilize the prices of cards in the best low entry competitive format and help Pauper spread across the world. Give players an affordable path into competitive Magic. #MTGPauper

I’m fully with LPI on this.
Zeta shouldn’t be excluded from Pauper simply because of the “Secret Lair” label.
If Baleful Strix is too strong, ban it.
But judge the cards, not the product they came from.
Pauper needs consistent rules, not exceptions.

Now that all 52 commons have been spoilered, this it how I would've handled the issue
No format legality changes.
Prebanned:
Price of Progress
Narcomeba
Vandalblast
This is the list of downshifts:

I will go card by card in comments

Zeta should be judged by what it is, not by the Secret Lair label.
Apply Pauper rules, evaluate cards case by case, ban where needed.
Don’t close the door on the format’s future.

I’ve just been invited to the FaB World Championship via the Top 25 Europe Leaderboard, thanks to my performances at Callings & Showdowns this year! I’m so happy to be part of an OP system that rewards players for actually attending events and performing consistently, rather than focusing solely on Pro Tour results. #fabtcg

Won a sweet Savannah at a local Duel Commander tournament (23 people).
In a new field without SP99, Lumra and Fantasticar, UB all-around control was my weapon of choice. Ertai is a cracked card alongside the Parallaxes and the old Jayce / Consultation combo helps a ton.
6-1-1🕊️
Top 8 at my second duel commander event! I played Winota, the deck has extremely powerful drops and seems solid even without the commander. I found it to be a fun format, although it has some critical issues for me

It's time to recognize that Secrets of Strixhaven has finally brought a new tier 1 deck to the table! @ciurlo22's and @LorenzoMontana's Naya gates brew was ignored until the Seeker combo brought attention to it, but is now a stable presence at the top of the metagame.

People are clamoring for a ban on Sneaky Snacker.
I think that if it actually got banned, people would just start complaining about other cards in the format :Tolarian Terror or Avenging Hunter for instance.
Stop cry and play more.

My last event of the season (unt sep), the culmination of a great year for me and my return to magic.
I started 4-1 at super ipt (140pl) but my run ended because of MW. I'm disappointed to have lost the TPP, but I thank the team from my heart. I plan to return stronger. Promised

Top 8 at Super IPT Sarzana (136 players) with Naya Bowmbo. The deck felt really solid. The combo was more of a plan B than the deck's primary game plan. I don't think the combo deserved to be banned yet but I'm afraid it's going to get axed today. @Zero3Spritz @fireshoes #pauper

Top4 with Visionary Tron at IPT Pauper Kingdom (60 players).
Basically my old Cryo list with impulses upgraded to the new Strixhaven cantrip, cutting every other wincon for some more interaction.
The deck isn't that good but fun as always.

Top8 at IPT Pauper Cacciucco in Livorno (72 players).
New set and FINALLY a new playable card. @ciurlo22 sent me a decklist trying to maximize value with Rumble (aka Ancestral Recall), and after a few changes our testing gave very promising results.
Naya Cazzate is born.
