John Green, arguably a philosopher, definitely a novelist and internet personality, has a running thread in his thought that suffering is not inherently noble, it just sucks. He references this in this video: youtube.com/watch?v=Gxz-IBge… and Ch 34 of his Anthropocene book. 1/n

Because I really love formal logic and algebraic thought, I was worried I would not teach Topology in such a way as to motivate "visual intuition" of the topic. When my class ended yesterday and I saw this left on the board, I was less worried on this front.

Yeah, I think the slogan works more as an aspiration for a unified "Palestine region." That said, even under the 1947 UN plan, you could walk from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea through proposed "Arab Palestine."

Ugh, I read that as the difference between positive and negative numbers... Can you tell I'm fried? Anyway, book recommendation if you are interested in the history of negative numbers. Please do not prioritize, I am aware you are busy!
