We appeared for the Habeas corpus application hearing today.
The AG asked for two weeks to finalize investigations about the whereabouts of @SamMugumya which commenced on the 12 September 2025.
We wait to see what the report will say this time round.

This morning, we went back to the High Court for a Habeas Corpus hearing for comrade Sam Mugumya, who has been missing for one year and 2 months now. The military swore an affidavit denying holding him, despite all evidence and previous admissions that he's in their custody. The matter has been deferred to 9th November to apparently give the state more time to do 'further investigations' and report back.

Ssembabule District Woman MP, Florence Nambaziira (NRM), is currently defending her academic qualifications before Justice Christine Akello.
Appearing in court, Nambaziira revealed that she did not sit for her Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), stating instead that she obtained a certificate in hairdressing from the Mengo Youth Vocational Center.
The petition challenging her academic eligibility was filed by Mary Begumisa.

It is deeply disturbing that Kenya, once a safe haven for political exiles, human rights defenders, and activists fleeing persecution in their home countries, is increasingly becoming a place where their safety can no longer be guaranteed.
Tanzanian human rights activist Twaha Mwaipaya has been abducted this evening in Nairobi by armed men dressed in plain clothes.
Previously Dr.@kizzabesigye1 Ugandan opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye from Nairobi in November 2024 and abduction of PFF Supporters which all happened there ,these incidents continue to raise serious questions about Kenya’s role in protecting individuals seeking safety beyond their countries’ borders.
Kenya must not become a hunting ground for political dissidents and human rights defenders. The safety of those seeking refuge must be protected, regardless of their nationality or political beliefs.

This morning, comrade Kato Kenneth Wilson and I checked on Macrina, daughter of Comrade Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro, ahead of her P.7 UNEB Dedication Service today.
It is heartbreaking that Waiswa cannot be here for this major milestone in his child's life - jailed for no crime at all - while those who keep him behind bars enjoy these exact moments with their own children without a shred of remorse.

Apart from the man I risked my life and everything to make a father naming me malaaya and all sorts of names, the things I have seen,heard and gone through ever since the day I gave birth are really horrible and I wouldn't wish any woman to ever face even half of it. One day I will have the strength to narrate my side of the story. For now the judges can judge and namers can continue to name me and my son whatever they like. I'm only having strength to keep sane, fight postpartum depression and double all the love and care to my amazing son. My friends and family know me as a very strong person but they do not know that most of my nights are full of tears, pain, emptiness and regrets but I love my sweet boy coz I could get this C section scar over and over again just be his mother.

This morning, we also checked on Jeremiah, comrade Olivia Lutaaya's son at school on his Visitation Day. We hope that comrade Olivia will return from prison at the end of next week and get to reunite with Jeremiah and the rest of her family. Once again, we're super grateful to everyone who contributes towards the education requirements for the children of political prisoners.
