Maryland trails, 15-12, at the halfway point of set four. The Terps will need to stage a comeback to prevent their fourth five-set home game of the year.

The Terps take set three, 26-24. A late push gave the Terps the advantage. They now lead 2-1. Time will tell if the Terps can take their first fourth-set win of conference play.

Once again, Illinois holds a 15-14 lead at the technical timeout, but this time in set three. Maryland's defense looks much sharper in this set.

Illinois takes the second set, 25-21. The sets are tied 1-1 now.

Illinois leads 15-14 at the halfway mark of set two. A Terps 3-0 run tightened the score and prevented the Illini from running away with it.

Maryland takes the first set, 25-22. Sydney Bryant is off to a hot start, with six kills.

The Terps have a 15-12 lead at the first technical timeout. The offense has found a groove after a poor road trip.

Buzz Williams with an interesting schedule note. “It could be four games in five days, with the first game in December having a unique contract because there's an out in it.” If the Terps play four games in Vegas, they could back out of their game against American on Dec. 2

Buzz Williams recognizes how good the Terps can be, but it will be difficult. “We want to be the 2001 Maryland Terps. That's what we want to be, but it's in 2026, which is a completely different era, and the game's played differently.”

Per assistant coach Aki Collins, 5-star Baba Oladoton almost never came to Maryland “On Monday before he committed, literally the day before he committed, he was going to Georgetown.” The Maryland staff would not take no for an answer, and now Oladotun is in College Park.
