Yes, you can register one now on mainnet at cellula.id. You can connect JoyID to register and manage it, and a Bitcoin wallet also works (pick BTC or UniSat). You pay in CKB.
To receive: under "Where I'm paid" section on cellula.id, you add your CKB, Fiber, Bitcoin, Ethereum or Lightning addresses. Anyone paying from your name's page or a payment-request link gets your address straight from the chain. Your name also becomes a Lightning address ([email protected]) that any Lightning wallet can pay today.
But wallets don't look up .cell names by themselves yet. You can't type alice.cell into JoyID's send field. Payments go through your name's page or a request link for now.
