I thought it would take longer to be as useful but since most of what I do now is consume, I'm finding fewer reasons to come here and I hope it keeps trending that way. See ya there, cause you'll see much less of me here bsky.app/rayortega.bsky.soci… 🦋
New, @shure MV7i, an unexpected mic. 2 channel, audio interface built into the mic means you can plug any other mic. or instrument into the XLR combo input and get two separate audio channels into your computer or mobile device via 1 USB-C connection.

What do think? It hadn't even occurred to me. On top of that, any mic you plug into it, gets all the benefits of the onboard processing... denoise an SM7B!

A podcaster reviewing a condenser mic!?
Am I throwing away my SM7b? I mean, the SM4 is in the same family and it sounds really, really good 🤷

After using it for awhile, @bluesky is a better experience than here including features where I didn't realize there were new things to add. It has early day twitter vibes and none of the garbage this place promotes.
Rode has entered the conversation and I have many (mini?;) thoughts and questions. $149
ps. I'm exploring @bluesky as a replacement, come on over, will post my first impressions, thoughts and questions about this new mic. system bsky.app/profile/rayortega.b…
The new @RØDE Wireless Micro are easy-to-use ultra compact wireless lavalier microphones for the smartphone video creator! Sam runs down the specs of these magnetic lav mics and tests them outdoors!

I'm both, an avid content consumer & creator.
I enjoy good content but I *love* good content that is well made.
Production quality matters cause it lets the content shine & envelops the viewer.
Kudos to all the makers who are always trying to improve their work. I see you.
New review! @Sony ZV-E10II youtu.be/XokOezAn-G4 Worth the upgrade from the ZV-E10, if you don't have one already, and nothing missing from the a6700 that you need. Starting in video, YouTube? Probably no better option right now.
Big fan & user of @streamyardapp but very curious why my recent local recording of someone w/ a bad connection came out the same as the recording sent to the cloud aka the mix compared to the iso version. Local should not have been affected by connection, that's the point right?
In my quest to find even better noise removal tools for difficult audio, in the age of AI, I've gone from using Descript (using the free model, now much less free) to using @Adobe Podcast and in some cases it's really good. The big bonus is how they also control reverb.
New video! I’ve heard too many big podcasts miss this important step. Don’t ruin all your hard work, make sure your audio is level.
Perfect Audio Levels for Podcasts and Video (Any Editing System!).

I love @YouTube thumbnail A/B testing so much that I don't even mind making 3x the number of thumbnails for each video. Well, I mind but still happy to do it;) Stellar feature! 👍
Anyone still using @levelator?
I use Auphonic but curious about any active alternatives...most notably the leveling feature.
5 sources of light in this thumbnail. But which one is not real?;)

I spend an inordinate amount of time searching for the right whoosh, swoosh, whip, sweep...whatever you want to call it. 💨🤺
People who were told that their mouth needs to touch the windscreen, were mislead.
“But I’m not touching, I’m just barely off the mic.”
Still too close. 👀
My kid noticed that a video on my channel had hit 1M views! 🍾
Nice catch! My first video to achieve that. Also not the one I would have expected...a DSLR video settings tutorial 🤷♂️
