Earlier this month at the Freedom to Flourish Gala with @SafeSBC was a powerful reminder of what real progress looks like. Nearly $300,000 raised to protect kids and support survivors right here in Santa Barbara County.
I’ve spent more than 13 years on the front lines of this fight in California, and nights like this matter. Local organizations filling the gaps, law enforcement and advocates working together, and survivors leading the way forward. This is the kind of collaboration that actually moves the needle.
Grateful to stand with people who refuse to look away. Ending child sex trafficking takes this kind of focused, community level work every single day. It’s also why I’m proud to join @SteveHiltonx team as Director of Anti Trafficking Initiatives if he’s elected Governor. California needs accountability and results at every level.
