Hartlepool United are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong Pools supporter Jordan Olley, aged 34. Jordan, who was from Lincoln, had supported Pools since childhood, following in the footsteps of his parents and his Grandad Eddie. Three years ago, during Jordan’s battle with Stage IV bowel cancer, the club helped arrange for him to visit the Pools changing room and meet the players. One of Jordan’s biggest smiles came when the squad signed a get-well card for him following his diagnosis — something he and his family never forgot. Just one month ago, Jordan was told his cancer was terminal. Despite his health and mobility declining, his love for Pools never wavered. Only two weeks ago, he bought a camper van with plans to wrap it in Pools colours, travel from Lincoln to watch the team and sleep in the van afterwards. Even after a short getaway to Whitby, Jordan and his family made sure they were back in time to attend a pre-season fixture at Victoria Park. Jordan put up an incredible fight and remained a proud Pools supporter until the very end. Our thoughts are with Jordan’s wife, family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, Jordan.
