I know we have had a lot of beloved celebrities pass away this year but Eric Bauza’s death seems especially unfair. He was only 46 and practically in the prime of his career, and his voiceover work has been instrumental in keeping the Looney Tunes beloved in our modern day…

these characters have existed for almost a century now and have been treated terribly by their company for years, but eric fought for them until he died
he brought them back to us and carried on their legacy. rest in eternal peace, eric
Here’s my singing audition that helped me book “Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical ” — with screenplay and lyrics by Emmy Award winner Ariel Dumas (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and music and orchestration by Pulitzer Prize, Tony and Grammy winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal). Wish we could’ve seen this one come to fruition — would’ve been a good one 🎞️ 🎥 🍿 🥕🐰#StandWithAnimation @papertiki

I’m just…shattered ❤️🩹
Eric was a shining beacon of light for animation & VO everywhere. An icon of all things looney. His wide-spread career is the kind I hope to achieve someday.
I’m just glad I got to thank him in person for all he’s done, even if it was just once. RIP

Woke up to this news, far too sudden and far too soon. Eric was a bonafide star and the world is gonna miss him. Rest in peace.

something's in the air because this year we lost peter cullen, eric bauza, tim curry, and more. outside of cartoon voice acting we also lost people like wakana yamazaki who voiced ran mouri, and yuji ohno who was the composer for lupin the third. what a shit year.

Now we recently learned that his final performance as Bugs Bunny was in Bye Bye Bunny, which has, surprisingly, been put back in pre-production BEFORE his passing.
His support to the release of Coyote VS ACME really had a bigger impact beyond one film.

So it was Hypertension. Shit.
This specific illness is a silent killer, if unchecked. So yeah, make sure to keep yourself healthy as best as you can.
What a damn shame, he was a wonderful cartoonist and VO talent.
My condolences to all of Eric‘s loved ones and HW peers. RIP

My deepest condolences to his family, a talented VA gone too soon

Let it not be understated just how much work he did so that the animation/va industry we know could stay afloat in this current age of AI and corprate executives devaluing these mediums more and more.
His voice truly did have an impact.
He will absolutely be missed...

A handful of actor deaths this year have been painful, but this one particularly stings for me. I grew up on shows that featured this man’s performances, and now he’s gone…
Loss of an absolute talent, I wish his family well
Eric Bauza, the Emmy Award-winning voice actor behind Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died Sunday at his home as a result of hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. He was 46.

I'm having a hard time believing this
If anyone gave me hope for golden age animation, it was Eric Bauza
And he left too soon
Rest in Peace

Eric Bauza was one of the kindest, most generous people I've ever worked with in voice acting. When we met at San Diego Comic-Con, I was a bundle of nerves, and he made me feel like I belonged there. I'll never forget that. Rest in peace, Eric.

Holy hell... I had NO idea this guy was fighting heart disease. This passing seems so sudden... Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, the new BUSTER Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, Sylvester Cat, and so many more. He was a once-in-a-lifetime talent, and I hope he's resting in peace. 🧵

Eric Bauza was a giant in this industry who carried the baton of animation icons & brought joy to countless folks across generations. A legend, an inspiration, and by all accounts, a kind soul.
Rest in peace to a legend gone far too soon. Sincerest condolences to his family.

I went to a con in 2019 to meet Rob Paulsen, and he said there was one guy in the voice circuit who’d be the next big thing: Eric Bauza.
I started following his career and he became one of my heroes.
We’ve lost such an immense talent and light. My thoughts are with his family.
