As the New Year turns, this is a good moment to savor your life in three dimensions. Savor the events of 2024. Go through each month in your mind, sitting with gratitude on the beautiful, and focusing on what you learned and how you grew from the ugly. Savor 2025 with anticipation. Imagine the fun you will have with what you’ve planned for each part of the year. State your personal mission statement, and think how you plan to live it out in your work and relationships. Now savor this exact moment. You are fully alive, and fully present. This moment of this life at this time: a gift. Happy New Year from my family to yours.

"Playing on a basketball team is one of the more beautiful things in life because it gives you a group of brothers who have a common goal. It allows you to have a deeper connection past just being a teammate." —@HUMensBB's Bryce Harris

Interesting, enlightened example of self-awareness & how it affected Mark Cuban's decision with the NBA's @dallasmavs. Gets to keep doing what he loves to do while playing to strengths. May even benefit team & #community he loves too. finance.yahoo.com/news/mark-…

Worth the read. Thanks to @SethDavisHoops and to Dan Hurley for sharing.
When @UConnMBB coach Dan Hurley rang the bell at the NYSE last April, it was supposed to be a celebration for winning the championship. Instead he had a panic attack. Hurley spoke to @TheMessenger about mental health in hopes it will help others. themessenger.com/sports/dan-…

A new reason to work out in the morning: it builds confidence to overcome obstacles. On days when people exercise before work, they’re more engaged and less exhausted. They see tasks as challenges to conquer rather than threats to avoid. Early wins boost energy and efficacy.

Ahead of their game with Sweden tonight, cannot stop thinking about South African Keeper Andile "Sticks" Dlamini explaining concept of Ubuntu. 🇿🇦 “Giving praise to the next person when they do good, shaking your opponents’ hands after a match, whether you’ve lost or won. And when you’ve done something wrong, apologize, you know, even to the referee because they also make mistakes. They’re human. Allow people to be human because we're not perfect. And also see where you can help out. That’s the spirit of Ubuntu.” World needs more Ubuntu ❤️
