Handy it is @scot_text - thank you! Take note, those of you making that leap from N5 to Higher!
Brilliant morning with S2 at @edbookfest! Thank you to @nktgill, @JasonReynolds83 and @LawrencePatrice for getting the week off to a memorable start - and for signing our books!
Excited to share this with the world. A video created by a junior pupil, not in response to a task, but for the sheer joy of it and because she loved the poem when she read it in an English class. Isn’t it wonderful? Made my heart sing. @PortobelloHigh online.clickview.co.uk/share…
Such an important message. Now more than ever? This piece of work was started in lockdown, and finished back in school. 👏👏👏
Men are less likely to seek help for mental health largely due to societal expectations. This image was created by one of our S3 boys in Media and I’m sure you will agree how powerful it is. #talkingtogether #itsokaynottobeokay amazing work! @PortobelloHigh @PortyEnglish @EDIPHS
Good to reconnect with each other this week, and be reminded we’re in this together. Thank you Holly, for this fantastic piece of work! #itsoknottobeok #TalkingTogether #TeamPorty @MentalHealthPHS @PortobelloHigh
This. So good to see everyone back in class, and to chat about how we can support one another. #itsokaynottobeokay #TalkingTogether #TeamPorty @PortobelloHigh @MentalHealthPHS
What a term! So proud of the way everyone in Team Porty has pulled together to support one another and keep #Achievingtogether and, along the way, to remind each other that #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay. Love this film from Emilia! 👏👏👏
Very proud to be able to share this outstanding piece of work from one of our senior Media pupils.

One of our amazing senior @PortobelloHigh Media pupils has created a poster campaign in lockdown. Here is one of her posters. So inspired by her commitment to community and to open, clear, inclusive communication. @EDIPHS #AchievingTogether #lockdownlearning

@JackieKayPoet, S1 @PortobelloHigh pupils have loved discussing your beautiful work for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay! Thank you! Today, they suggested images they’d love to see lit up in the sky as they look to the future... #lockdownlearning #achievingtogether
So proud of our S1 pupils, who are developing their #reasoning skills as they think about current affairs. They have been considering the issue of protest, and this pupil and his mum discussed different perspectives on that issue. #remotelearning @Econ_Foundation
Great to get chatting about a new issue with S1 this morning! A few were off to call family members to discuss these questions... Looking forward to hearing how their discussions go! @Econ_Foundation @PortobelloHigh #LockdownLearning #AchievingTogether #NewsClub
So good to connect with pupils again today. We asked them to think about how good reading could be for wellbeing. One recommended reading this - my favourite book of 2020. We’re in this together. ❤️ Thank you @charliemackesy. @PortobelloHigh #portyreadswell #wellbeing
Important advice from our Media Senior class, at the end of a term like no other! So proud of our amazing pupils, and the resilience they’ve shown. Can’t wait to see you all in August!
Media students have been creating texts to meet the needs of a target audience. Fantastic advice for pupils in this text - thank you Cora! #portymedia
