I have never seen so many grown men openly admit to crying over Iryna Zarutska’s death on social media.
I was deeply affected by it myself. The mental imagery remained fixed in my mind for more than a month.
I still cannot comprehend how a system can permit a young woman who fled war in search of safety in America to be murdered in this manner, particularly when the man accused of killing her had already been released by a judge despite his extensive criminal history.
Judges must be held to the same standards they impose on everyone else.
