New art drop on @salvor_io! "Tangled Arches" showcases the Dark Hedges, a mystical tunnel of intertwining beech trees in Northern Ireland. Bid here: salvor.io/collections/0x1893… Here are some interesting info about this natural landmark: 1. Planted for Elegance: The Dark Hedges was planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to impress visitors approaching their Gracehill House estate. 2. Beech Trees: The avenue consists of about 150 beech trees, although time and natural forces have reduced the number over the years. 3. A Natural Tunnel: The way the branches intertwine creates a natural tunnel, a hallmark of its haunting beauty. 4. Game of Thrones Fame: It was famously featured as the Kingsroad in the hit TV series Game of Thrones. 5. A Photographer’s Dream: The location is one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland. 6. Ghostly Legends: Local legend speaks of a ghostly figure known as the "Grey Lady," said to haunt the hedges at dusk. 7. Protected Landmark: It is a designated conservation area to protect its unique landscape.
