In Power S2E2, Kanan tells Ghost and Tommy he went to visit his mom’s. Back then it was a throwaway line. We had no idea what he meant — whether she was alive, in a home, or he was standing over a grave. Then Raising Kanan happened. Now we know Raq is dead, at Jukebox’s hands. We know what Juke told him. We know what Kanan did to Lou and Marvin. That visit wasn’t to a living mother. It was to her grave. And if he went there, he would’ve seen Lou and Marvin’s graves too. The missing scene is what he would even say to her after everything that went down in Raising Kanan… and after ten years in prison with nothing but time to sit with it. Would he feel guilty? Remorse? Or would he still justify his axtions? Not just with Raq. He’d have something to say to Marvin and Lou as well. The scene and 'throwaway' line means much more than his conversation with Raq. The full-circle moment is older Kanan at that grave, hallucinating Raq, Marvin and Lou — having that conversation 20 years later as the man he became. That’s the complete Kanan Stark arc. Power, Raising Kanan, Origins, then back to that line in S2 like it was always waiting for the rest of the story. A flashforward of this scene would be the icing on the cake and the full completion for his arc. This is the missing scene. This is the missing link. My video on YouTube explains this in more detail.
