So excited to share my first 1st-author paper in @PNASNews on #coralreef food webs worldwide! Very proud and grateful to have achieved this work with such a great team🙌. Check it out ➡️ pnas.org/content/118/39/e210…
We found that coral reef food webs show remarkable consistent trophic pathways across 6 bioregions. Food webs are dominated by dietary specialists and are arranged in distinct prey-predator groups. Such characteristics make them particularly vulnerable to species loss.
