मध्यावधि चुनावों से ट्रंप ने जो सबक नहीं सीखे उम्मीद तो यह थी कि मध्यावधि चुनावों में मिली करारी शिकस्त के बाद ट्रंप नए सिरे से शुरुआत करने और खुद को दोबारा खड़ा करने की कोई योजना बनाएंगे। यह भी लगा था कि अब वे अपना पूरा ध्यान जनता के मुद्दों पर लगाएंगे, जैसे बेलगाम महंगाई, पेट्रोल और राशन के बढ़ते दाम, इलाज का बढ़ता खर्च, आवास, शिक्षा, और ईरान-इज़राइल-फ़िलिस्तीन व यूक्रेन-रूस में चल रहे कभी न खत्म होने वाले युद्ध। ना...आ...आ...आ...आ! बिल्कुल नहीं। ट्रंप तो ट्रंप ठहरे। सबसे पहले उन्होंने व्हाइट हाउस की चीफ़ ऑफ़ स्टाफ़ को हटाया और उनकी जगह साक्षात "मिस्टर ईविल" को ही बिठा दिया। और अब वे अपने 1 अरब डॉलर के, 50 फ़ुट ऊँची छत वाले उस बॉलरूम पर "Harp" कर रहे हैं, जिसे वे एक्सप्रेस रफ़्तार से तैयार करवा रहे हैं!

Lessons Trump did not learn from the Mid Terms : One would have thought Trump would have plans to reboot and re launch afresh after the shellacking he received in the mid-terms. One also thought that he would devote his full attention to the issues of the people like high inflation and rising cost of gas and groceries, rising health costs, housing, education and the unending war in Iran-Israel-Palestine, and Ukraine - Russia etc now. Naaaaaaah . No way. Trump being Trump he first removed the White House Chief of Staff and promoted Mr Evil himself in her place. And, then it was time for “Harping” on his 1 billion dollar worth 50 ft ceiling ball room which he is now getting ready at express speed !

Mr Trump lost worse than Richard Nixon lost after Watergate in the early 1970s !! And, Watergate appears to be a child’s play compared to the hundreds of “Bigger” gates he has crossed over the last two years.

When we were as young as the present Gen Z we had these wonderful companions on TV. And, we waited for the news at 9 pm. Do the present generation have the same luxury ? I don’t think so.
