I’m still surprised when I hear Hatters say “we’ve got lots of gas.”
The city of #medhat sold or abandoned 85% of its wells since 2017 because they were money pits.
Gas for power plant is bought off the Alberta system. Has been for a decade.

Most farmers don’t want to be thanked for doing our jobs
For me it’s more about our industry being trusted and respected enough to accomplish what we’ve been tasked to do
To work with the land to grow and raise safe, healthy and affordable food

❗️ As we FORE-warned you last week, the walking trails at the golf course are being redone from July 6-17. We’re reminding would-be-walkers to find another path; this one's closed (plus there’s barricades- the universal construction symbol of “probably shouldn’t be in this area”)

Reminder do not park under overpasses in thunderstorms. Emergency crews cannot get through and you risk yourself and others around you, when visibility is really low that’s how big pile ups happen. #abroads #abstorm @511Alberta

A reminder to always head indoors when you hear thunder.

Earlier today when I checked, wind farms recorded $150 in sales to the grid over an hour. Currently sales total $400,000 this hour, with no variable operating costs.
That averages to $200,075 per hour of mostly profit.
Tell me again how renewables don’t have a business case.

Main area of concern could be where right moving storms move along a west-east QS front/dryline north of Calgary, where all storm hazards could become possible. #abstorm
