On my way to the farm, I saw a beautiful female corps member standing under the sun. I asked, “What is a fine lady like you doing under this hot sun?” She said she was going for her CDS, so I offered her a ride. We exchanged numbers, I made a little financial mistake, dropped her off, and continued to my farm.
When I got to the farm, I parked a short distance away and decided to walk in quietly. Nobody noticed I had arrived.
To my surprise, the pigs hadn’t been fed, some workers were still sleeping, and I saw two of them at the cooking spot roasting meat. They were shocked to see me.
I asked, “Where did you people see bush meat? Una dey enjoy o!” They couldn’t answer.
Then I noticed a goat head.
I immediately ran to the goat pen and discovered my male goat was missing. They then told me the goat died the previous night.
I was furious. Why didn’t they tell me? I even called last night! Their excuse was that they had no airtime or data. I asked why they didn’t at least take a picture as evidence. No answer.
I simply told them the cost of the goat would be deducted from their salaries by month end, and everyone resumed work.
As I was leaving, one of them ran after me and asked if he should package some of the meat for me. I replied, “I no want o, before una go say oga sef chop inside the meat.”
The same guy then asked me to borrow him money to buy pepper. I gave him the money and said, “Enjoy the goat you people bought from me.”

Happy Father’s Day to me.
I may not have children yet, but I’m a proud father of my thoughts, my decisions, my responsibilities, and the countless imaginary arguments I’ve won in the shower.
I’ve raised dreams from nothing, disciplined my bad habits (well… I’m still trying ), and I check on my mental health like a concerned parent.
Fatherhood isn’t just about having kids… sometimes it’s about surviving life without crying every 5 minutes.
So cheers to me, a father of ideas, a guardian of my peace, and a man who’s been paying emotional child support to his own problems for years. Happy Father’s Day, king. 👑
