Replying to @PrezChaimBloom
The Cubs were just eliminated from playoff contention last week...now were they actually a contender for 5.5 months? No.
While we’re arguing about what contracts can be in baseball let’s ban all contracts over 5 years long. We don’t need those.
HELLO
RELEASED: #Orioles have released OF Heston Kjerstad after he cleared outright waivers.
CJ Abrams, Gunnar Henderson, and Josh Jung should be big swing targets for Chaim Bloom this offseason. Young guys that can play 3B and fit the long term plan. You have a lot of controllable catching prospects to use
Dream scenario (I hate the bullpen still) shoutout to @DealinTheCards
Of all the coaching staff to fire…
News out of St. Louis: The Cardinals have parted ways with hitting coach Brant Brown, but expect to retain the majority of the major-league coaching staff for next season.

It’s not a bad package but here’s the thing: the Cardinals don’t need to trade Herrera. If you want him come and get him. So it starts with Lagrange or we call another team imo
Sato being a Cardinal does feel like it would be a peace offering to the fanbase and show signs of caring about competing in the short term. Let’s do it.
Are the lockout threats extinguished at all by the fact that the Dodgers will end up in the championship series with three traditionally low payroll small market teams?
Picking your opponent in the postseason is so fucking stupid. Rob Manfred is actively ruining the game while the Cardinals owners ruined the organization and they support Manfred.
And our pets heads are falling off.
I hate shortening the season but I like extending the division series.
MLB has proposed returning to a 154-game Regular Season, best-of-seven Division Series, and opponent selection in the Wild Card and Division Series
Starting in 2029, shortening the season to a 154-game schedule would create a standard weekly off day benefiting player health, and it would allow the addition of up to 8 more Postseason games by moving to a best-of-seven Division Series format
Beginning in 2027, higher-seeded clubs in the Wild Card and Division Series would select their opponents
