Been off X for 3 weeks, fully focused on building our infra, shooting content and talking with robotics labs. Most productive time I’ve had in years. Now back to shitposting 🫡

Robotics has a distribution problem. Today, Ultra is announcing $62M in funding to solve it, including a $50M Series A led by @hiFramework. We believe that deployment is the bottleneck in robotics. It’s relatively easy to make a robot look impressive in a controlled environment. It’s much harder to put a robot into the open world, make it useful, keep it running, earn the trust of the people working alongside it, and do that over and over and over again. So that’s what we’re focusing on.

Yet another wheeled humanoid. Looking very smooth and fast. Looking forward to seeing it in actual deployments. 2027 is going to be fun.
We are releasing Dyna-2.1, the first Physical Agent that achieves reliable super long-horizon whole-body autonomy. It combines our brand-new semi-humanoid hardware with an agentic system built around Dyna-2 to handle ultra-long real-world workflows. Here is an uncut footage of Dyna-2.1 completing an entire hour-long laundry room workflow, just like a human does.

Not sure if it's a total shitpost or just partial one, but military applications of robots will be and remain fully teleoperated till the end times. Proud to say that as of today, @crowdbrainai has the biggest, most trained and most geodistributed workforce of teleoperators while having the best infra and pipeline for it. HIGHER
We’re launching the Army of Robots. In 2022, we launched the Army of Drones. Today, drones account for over 95% of battlefield strikes, and Ukraine has more than 700 UAV manufacturers. Now we need the next technological breakthrough: the robotization of warfare. The goal is simple — save lives. Robots should take on the most dangerous missions: evacuating the wounded, delivering ammunition, mining and demining, reconnaissance, defending positions and engaging targets. The Army of Robots is not one company. It’s an ecosystem. We will invest in defense tech companies, launch our own technology projects, test them with the military and scale what works on the battlefield. We’re now looking for defense tech companies and engineers working on robotic technologies — as well as a CTO / Tech Lead for the Army of Robots. Join us: thearmyofrobots.com/en

Is it just my timeline and all the effort I put into manifesting this or is teleoperation actually being talked and shilled a lot more lately?

VR and AR making a mega comeback is something I've been praying for daily for the last 10 years. I'M BEYOND EXCITED FOR EVERYTHING THAT'S ABOUT TO COME. Btw, it's going to be a huge part of robotics. And also props to Meta VR team.

This is a must read for anyone in data or robotics. Doing the hard thing is the only moat. No shortcuts. And if you’re collecting data, you need have a very clean plan to graduate out of being a data company. Now, back to work.
After 2+ years in the robotics data space, we are shutting @Eidon_AI down. The thesis was right. But the business is brutally hard. We close this chapter by open-sourcing everything we built and sharing lessons for anyone venturing into the space.

I'm locked in the dark room until I become a master at teleoperating arms with just the keyboard. Watch out VR and exoskeleton users! TELEOPMAXXING

Yes, I’ve tried it. No, I’m not adding Jev to every workflow and posting GAMECHANGER examples. Especially not for robotics. Thanks!

Is it just me or did announcement videos from all the robotics labs lately get prettier and cinematic but so much more boring?

Feels like one of those weeks when everyone in robotics announces something new and exciting. @odysseyml next. What a time to be alive.
Introducing OM-1, our first robot foundation model, zero-shot generalizing to any robot: table-top arms, industrial arms and humanoids. - learned directly from human manipulation data - no teleop/robot data - close to human-level dexterity and efficiency - multi-robot collab

Lately I’ve tried 3 new VC funded robotics sim engines. All claimed best physics and optimization. On contact rich manipulation all of them were worse than mujoco. What are we doing here?

If you are fascinated by seeing Unitree G1s walk the streets in 2026, you wouldn’t be able to handle Neptune pulling up and aura farming in the USSR 60 years ago.

All my cracked teammates from national math team who chose research path are now depressed. Talked with two of them today and both feel lost and not sure what to do in life. Crazy times.
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

We gave gpt6 Astra control of deployed robots, Unitree G1 and a bimanual YAM setups. It was significantly worse than what you see on X. Picking and placing a cube is one thing. Doing a real task in a real factory is an entirely different thing. I’ll write it up in detail later.

Is it just me or did random Sunday Robotics employee tweets entirely vanish lately? Went from 100 spam shitposts on my timeline to 0 real quick.

We just had insane weeks of banger back to back robotics announcements with Dyna, Generalist, Skild. And now my timeline is back to AI robotics slop and engagement farming. The downgrade is brutal, I was not prepared for this.
