This photo will forever be our last memory together.. @OGCyanide
π
Lauri was so much more than a teammate. We shared our everyday lives for over two and a half years, and he became so much more than just someone I played alongside.
He was one of the kindest, most genuine souls Iβve ever had the privilege of knowing.
We saw each other again at the showmatch in July, and he was still full of dreams, plans, and projects for the future.
You will be deeply missed, brother. Thank you for the memories, the time we shared, and for the person you were.
Rest in peace, my bro ποΈ
Owch this one hurts.
RIP Cyanide..
Former Fnatic jungler and 2011 League of Legends World Champion Lauri βCyanideβ Happonen has passed away at just 31 years old.
Cyanide was part of Fnaticβs legendary 2011 roster that won the first-ever League of Legends World Championship, alongside xPeke, Shushei and YellOwStaR.
He later helped Fnatic win three EU LCS titles before retiring from professional League of Legends in 2017.
The news was confirmed months after his death, and the circumstances have not been made public.
Rest in peace, Cyanide.
Because it doesn't feel the same whenever it comes back.
They changed the Jeff Winter Event
They never brought back the Ultron Protocol Event
Zombies when it first released was drastically different than the Blood Hunt we've have now
Chinese New Year had the Soccer Event
They did the Bobble Head event ONCE and never even made new bobble head emotes for the new characters
They either make events and never bring them back or if they do bring them back, they add onto it - which I fully understand why, but nothing feels the same.
It's the same reason why people who played Season 0 will literally say they miss that season because of the feeling back then, the community not being toxic and getting along - doing stupid things and laughing about it or doing insane (at the time) plays. Back then, The Strange TP/Spawn Room was such a troll but big play move, it always got people - rarely did it not.

I canβt process this.

Knew Eric a good long time. He taught me what makes a winning audition. He encouraged me when I was just a kid. Eric Bauza was such a good guy.
Too god damned early.
We were supposed to get a drink. He invited me out, but we got too busy. We never got a picture together, just us. I'll regret that.
Rest well, Eric. Everyone's brother, everyone's cool uncle. I'm going to miss you horribly.
I'm sorry, I'm usually better with these... It's just been too many deaths in such a short time. Words fail. My chest is caving in.

Eric Bauza was one of my heroes. He was always so kind to me. Voices my favorite characters from my childhood. As someone who also specializes in soundalike voice acting work, I looked up to him so much. Your voice and soul was heard and felt by billions of humans. We love you β€οΈ
Why do games that built their success on PVP multiplayer suddenly shift their MAIN focus to PvE and arcade modes, then wonder why the player base starts leaving?
Marvel Rivals succeeded initially because it offered something people were excited for: a fresh, very fast paced third person pvp hero shooter that competed with Overwatch. The Marvel IP was a nice bonus, but it was never the main reason people stayed. Players came for the PVP gameplay.
After the initial honeymoon phase, a number of core issues became impossible to ignore. The ranked system remained underdeveloped and unhealthy. Optimization stayed poor. The dominance of triple support comps made matches feel slow and unengaging. Balance patch notes are totally out of touch like Gambit being meta since release. On top of that, many players watched their favorite heroes get neglected when it came to skins and content. These problems stacked up over the past two years and were never meaningfully addressed.
Instead of fixing the foundation that made the game popular, the focus shifted toward rushed, poorly optimized arcade modes. These modes are usually fun for a day or two before being forgotten. Meanwhile, the fast-paced PVP experience that actually built the community continues to suffer.
The game needs real change, and it needs it soon. A lot of players are already losing patience, and more are quietly leaving.

Imagine if instead they just didnβt do all these game modes and released skins and characters instead
-Age of Ultron couldβve gotten Vision/Quicksilver
-Infinity War couldβve gotten Gamora and Drax
- Endgame couldβve been Ant-Man and Captain Marvel
- Then you end the year with Thanos and Doom both in a single season and you get one of the biggest hype moments for a game of all time

Sit down bro.
Nobody wants to hear what a 40 year old/no kids/no wife twitch streamer thinks on this situation. Iβm a clown and even I know that nobody wants my opinion on this.
When we want to know what brothels to hit up then weβll ask you.
