20 years as a senior motion designer, at top ad agencies and studios.
One pattern never changed: the quality of the work tracked the systems behind it.
Organization is speed.
Speed is iteration.
Iteration is quality.
AI search, tagging and agents all read the same thing first: the file name and the folder it's in.
gen_03_upscaled_FINAL.png is weak context. ACM_HERO01_Gen_v04.png isn't.

Three studios. Three conventions. Short codes. Detailed names. Dated files. None of them wrong. Good is whatever your studio decides. Prisma enforces consistency, whichever rules you pick.

#FileOrganization
Good file organization isn't busywork. It's the handshake between people and machines.
Clear names and predictable folders help your team find things faster and your tools and AI agents understand your work.
Less friction for everyone. That's what we're building with Prisma.
Pristine data is not a bigger model. It is a file that already knows what it is.
Project. Asset. Version. Approved or not.
AI can see the picture. It cannot invent the job. Creative teams that want useful retrieval later have to put identity on the file now.
Creative studios: how much time do you actually spend on file naming and folder wrangling in a normal week?
0%Under 30 min / week
50%30–90 min / week
50%2–5 hours / week
0%Half a day or more

A DAM does not fix a bad name. It catalogs it.
If the file hits the library as Final_Final2, every search, tag, and AI retrieval starts from junk.
Clean identity at save. Then the DAM has something worth storing.
Good organization is not extra work.
It is how you stop paying for the same file twice. When the name and the folder already tell you what it is, you iterate more, hand off cleaner, and go home with your eyes still working.
Structure first. Speed and quality follows.
