Cool creation here by @wadsworth_golf that they designed @LakesofTaylor using the Mitten State as a template for a new bunker on the 18th @ProAngleOhio looks great! @best_sand @APlaskey

Kyle Franz, one of the profession’s most in-demand designers, is in the process of shaping bunkers and greens at this new golf club between Austin & San Antonio. The property’s potential is outstanding with sweeping meadows and rolling contour, but the most interesting aspects are the myriad barrancas that network the property ranging from three to 30 feet in depth. Franz’s design uses them and chains of bunkers to create alternate fairways and optional routes of play on nearly every hole.

We have been approved to finish a sand refresh @TransitValleyCC You can see the difference between the old sand and the new @ProAngleOhio
The staff has been moving their way across the course one bunker at a time. Big difference in look and playability. Slow process; but making an impact. @GoringRob

Took a spin around the renovated Pine Trace track last week and it’s looking good! The Signature 700 blend from @best_sand really looks sharp. New bunkers, new putting surfaces, updated tees and tree removal has made a huge difference @APlaskey

A dramatic transformation! @sam_moynihan discusses how taking the golf course back in time has helped he and his staff move forward personally and professionally. Full video on our YouTube channel presented by @ToroGolf: youtu.be/3-_SEmbWuAA?si=ZT4J…

Today’s #powerwalk took us to the legendary @DetroitGolfClub where @sam_moynihan gave us some of his very busy day to update us on @TylerRaeDesign’s renovation of the North Course, a 1914 Donald Ross gem. We watched as the team finished up one of the very last bunkers and talked in depth about why he chose @best_sand’s Signature 900. The short version: past success. Video from @CourseCares coming soon.

Happy Friday from Shelter Harbor GC where @CourseCares and I just got the tour from @MichaelDachows2 and did an interview about how he’s used @ProAngleOhio sand from @best_sand so successfully. Video coming soon!

No. 18 is the perfect exclamation point. A bold tee shot challenges the right side and reduces yardage into the green. The view from the fairway is amazing, but beware the bunkers.
Make birdie in front of the clubhouse patio and the post-round drink will be extra satisfying.

It’s here. The grand reopening of our 1921 AW Tillinghast/Keith Foster restored Lakewood CC. It feels like Christmas morning! I’m so thrilled for our membership and what they get to experience today. It’s been a long road to this point. But we made it. There’s a new sheriff in Northern Ohio, and it’s Lakewood CC.
