Tesla's Roadster jump is really a spacecraft reaction-control problem in a car.
Thrusters, ~80 kW of suction fans, and a controller deciding which force to use. The same stack runs across land, air, and space.

The models in @pixio_ai are getting so powerful!
Everything you are about to watch was generated on @pixio_ai .
The dancers. The rain. The camera falling through a mirror floor and coming out underneath, where they are still dancing, upside down.
Nobody filmed it. Nobody composited it.

Our first aerospike rocket thruster. 5 kN (1,125 lbf) kerolox.
Aerospikes are among the hardest rocket engines to develop. Few teams have successfully hot-fired liquid-propellant versions, and none has yet flown to space.
Although the geometry is radically different from a conventional bell nozzle, the governing physics are the same. That makes aerospikes an ideal fit for Noyron, which generates engines from underlying physical principles rather than from CAD drawings.
An aerospike turns the conventional nozzle inside out. Its toroidal geometry eliminates the fixed outer bell wall, which forces a conventional thruster to choose one atmospheric regime.
A sea-level bell nozzle sacrifices performance at high altitude. A vacuum-optimized nozzle cannot be operated safely at sea level.
Aerospikes are efficient under all atmospheric conditions, making them highly relevant for reusable upper stages that fly back from space to the launch site.
Cooling them is the biggest challenge. Our engine uses liquid oxygen to regeneratively cool the inner spike and kerosene fuel to cool the outer shroud. The resulting warm LOX gives the engine a nice Isp boost.
We hot-fired this engine in December 2024. Its early success encouraged us to pursue aerospikes as a parallel track across our engine programs.

There are some pragmatic and viable solutions for safe airspace integration for the community and the regulator that went ignored. Mission Launch: Monday, September 21st
What is the Amalgaverse?
The Amalgaverse is a fictional shared universe of fictional SF universes that will serve as the setting for a series of missions that will play out as episodic adventures in the style of the beloved ship-based sci-fi shows of the 90's.
How will these missions play out?
The missions will play out in the form of an online choose-your-own-adventure format with fan voting driving the narrative. YOU choose the missions. YOU select the away teams. YOU make the decisions that shape each adventure.
How elaborate is each mission?
Each mission has been designed like an episode of sci-fi television complete with twists, turns, shocks, and surprises. Five acts. At least five beats per act. A beginning, middle, and ending. Just like the old days!
How many missions have you designed?
Since these missions will play out like episodes from those beloved ship-based sci-fi shows of the 90's, I've structured a similar rollout. Ten missions to start followed by a brief hiatus after which the back half ten episodes will unfold. 20 missions/episodes in total. That will be our first season. And depending on fan response, a second season could be in the cards.
This seems like a lot of work. Why are you doing this?
I'm tired of crafting stories (pitches, pilots scripts, series bibles) that never see the light of day, always subject to the whims of gormless executives. Science fiction is a tough sell. Far future sci-fi, tougher still. Far future ship-based sci-fi, toughest of all. But that's my jam. And I've missed it. So this allows me to do what I do best, exercise those creative muscles, and hopefully give SF fans something to look forward to with every mission. For entertainment purposes only of course.
But, characters aside, couldn't you just turn these stories into a script you can try selling or a book you could publish? Wouldn't that be more lucrative?
Yes, absolutely, but, as I said, the prospect of selling a far future ship-based sci-fi series is so remote that I'd prefer the fun and the satisfaction of this exercise over the prospect of writing yet another script that will just end up on a digital shelf. And, yes, I could write a book - but that would require more time and effort than I am willing to commit at this time.
Okay, enough questions. When do we get started?
The adventures begin Monday, September 21st at 12:01 E.T., here on X. Set a reminder and turn on notifications so you don't miss a beat!

Amazon/MGM should be brought up on criminal charges for how badly they've fumbled Stargate.
I can't fathom any franchise that has so much enthusiastic buy in from the original team yet such difficulty getting a billion dollar org to spend a single dollar on a new series
MGM asked me to do exactly what you’re describing after I finished Travelers, just before the pandemic. New and legacy characters working together, facing an entirely new enemy, several years after the events of Continuum. (in which I included a hint of the setting) I wrote a pilot I was proud of and MGM seemed excited, but obviously the timing could not have been worse. I can only presume Amazon didn’t like it. I was 100 percent behind Martin and his team, but that was even more heartbreaking because they got so close.
In other words, we tried. Martin will go on to make something amazing. I may even have another show in me. But I have moved on.

We want Stargate back.
But more importantly, we want you to understand why we want it back.
There is a concern among many long-time fans that the value of the Stargate franchise is being viewed primarily as its basic premise and brand recognition, rather than the incredible universe that has already been built.
Stargate 1994 movie was just the beginning. A small window. Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe didn't simply tell variations of the same story. Together, they created a vast mythology, established characters, countless worlds, civilisations, technologies, mysteries and decades of history.
That history isn't baggage.
It's the franchise's greatest asset.
We aren't asking you to simply recreate SG-1. We aren't asking for endless nostalgia or a carbon copy of what came before.
We want something new.
Give us new characters. New teams. New worlds. New threats. New mysteries.
But don't throw away the universe that makes those new stories possible.
There is no reason why a new series can't be accessible to someone discovering Stargate for the first time while still respecting the people who have been watching, supporting and talking about this franchise for decades.
In fact, that would be Stargate's greatest strength.
You don't have to choose between new audiences and existing fans.
You can bring people into the franchise by giving them a compelling new story — while rewarding longtime viewers who understand the history behind the universe.
So please don't look at Stargate and see something that needs to be rebooted simply because it's old.
Look at what you've inherited.
Look at the enormous universe that is already there.
And then ask yourselves:
“Where can we take this next?”
That's the Stargate we want.
Not a replacement.
Not an erasure.
A continuation. An expansion. A new chapter in a universe we already love.
Amazon MGM — please listen to the fans.
Don't reboot the universe. Explore it.
