In a few weeks I'll be doing my first 50 miler. On Monday I had my last really big training day of the block.
AM: 2×9 miles w/ 2 minutes rest, first rep steady, second rep more like 50M effort
PM: same exact thing except on the track because it would get dark.
10 minute PR w/ 1000 feet of climbing on a windy day in Baltimore. This was my first marathon working with Andrew and I think we're still pretty far from his ceiling.
Graphic by Katie as always.
More big results from my FR crew this fall! lots of racing left to do still and the top 10 lists keep getting rewritten. It now takes sub 70 and sub 2:30 to crack the list
A big day in Berlin moved Max to #3 on the FrontRunner all-time list. He was a 73min/2:27 (half/full) guy entering the year and has since run sub 50 for 10 miles, 65 mins for half and 2:20 for the marathon. We feel really confident he will grab an OTQ in 2027.
My marathon squad in 2026 so far, with the 4 fastest half-marathoners all yet to run their first marathon of the year.
