It has been a banner couple of weeks for former Catholic High golfers at the college level. In mid-September, 2025 CHS graduate David Marsh struck first by winning his first college golf tournament at the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, Tennessee. Marsh, a sophomore at Southeastern Louisiana, shot 4 under par over 54 holes to defeat 68 other college golfers and take home his first individual title. It didn't take long for 2026 CHS graduate Drew Prieto to respond to Marsh's big win. In only his second start of his freshman year, Prieto tasted victory for his Sewanee Tigers in the Whitworth Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay in Washington State. Chambers Bay was famously host to the 2015 U.S. Open and Prieto shot 4 under par over 36 holes to tie one of his teammates for the medalist title.
