KIRK IS NOT THE VILLAIN HERE.
A migrant allegedly groping girls and showing his pubic hairs is the real criminal. Ladies carry your Deep Heat.
We have to rely on international news for stories like this because RTE and their lick spittle apparatchiks won't report on it.
Ireland put the tweeter on trial, not the groper
I cannot believe the resources the state has mustered to go after a guy for making a tweet.
I'm writing this on the lunch break of Kirk Loco's trial in Bray, County Wicklow, about an hour south of Dublin. Kirk is being prosecuted for a tweet warning young women about migrant men harassing girls on a public bus. The tweet was true. And the man he warned about was in the courtroom today as the prosecution's main witness.
I can't identify him. He's a refugee claimant, and the lawyers and police warned me not to say anything that could reveal who he is. I'll say only that he needed an Arabic translator.
He testified he did nothing wrong, that he was just looking for a place to plug in his phone. Then he said his phone fell on the floor, which is why he got up and sat down next to the teenage girls. He never explained why he moved from the seat in front of them to the seat beside them, blocking the aisle.
According to the girl, he groped her, his belt was undone and his pants were so low his pubic hair was visible. She was so frightened she fled downstairs on the double-decker bus.
How do we know all this? There were about 10 CCTV cameras on that bus. They show him moving back and forth around the girl. They show that when the bus stopped and it was clear he was in trouble, he went to the back and played possum. Thirty-eight seconds from chatting to another passenger to out cold.
The driver testified he was obviously faking. Asked about that, he told the court: “I'm known as a very quick sleeper.”
I've been to 100 trials in my life, maybe more, and I don't think I've ever seen a shiftier witness. He took two or three positions on every question and switched mid-answer. I don't think the judge was buying it either.
Laoise de Brún, the barrister we're crowdfunding for Kirk, sliced and diced him on cross-examination. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Then a senior Garda took the stand and talked about the refugee accommodation at Newtownmountkennedy. He described the migrant men there as “vulnerable.”
Irish teenage girls are allegedly being harassed, and the men are the vulnerable ones?
He also described an incident where men from that centre were filming young girls at a sporting event. His response was to have them delete the videos — he deleted the evidence.
There's a term in psychology, DARVO: deny, attack, reverse victim and offender. That's what I watched today. The whole system is upside down. The hero of this story, according to the prosecution, is a man who admitted touching this girl and having his pants down. The villain is the man who warned the neighbourhood.
This is Kirk's 10th court appearance. He faces possible jail. The trial is only half over, and I'll have more from inside the courtroom.
If you want to help pay for Kirk's lawyers, and for Hugh Fagan, who goes on trial Tuesday, please go to IrishFreeSpeech.com.
I don't think I'm easily shocked. I've seen too much. But I have never seen anything like this. Ireland needs help.

Peter Hyman, who is writing Burnham's ten year plan, says we should move schools into "zoos" and "forests".
Hear me out for a second - what if we put them in "classrooms" with "books"?

Paul Lawless was very good on this in the Dáil this week.
The hugging granny ad wasn't just a viral accident, it is the perfect example of how billions of taxpayer Euro is being spent on hyper-partisan, social justice theory-driven projects that go against the interests of those very same taxpayers.
This ad will hopefully mark an important watershed in modern Irish history - the moment Ireland woke up to the fact that an unelected cabal of NGO managers have had undue influence on government policy for two decades and that influence has turned Ireland into a radical political basket case and international laughingstock.
This woman is a menace. She does not want to be peacefully raped by Muslim men. Islamophobia must be eradicated. - @PatinkinMandy

When I worked in Paris over 20 years ago this was blatantly obvious. My GF (and other young female students we worked with) at the time used get harassed on the trains and metro is often.
They’d get into personal space, ask for number, rub her shoulders, arms, leg etc.
The ones we knew didn’t consider themselves French. Integration has failed and diversity is destroying much of 🇫🇷

And here an earlier thread explaining why UK economic growth has probably been slightly higher than it would have been had we not left the EU
(albeit assessing the counter-factual is highly uncertain).

Does @AngelaRayner realise how misleading this is?
Even if not, good journalists should have figures at hand to correct her & other Govt. ministers trying to imply UK exports to the EU have gone down since Brexit.
In fact total exports to the EU have increased since Brexit.

Typical modern Ireland. Huge concern about the abuses of decades ago, but almost none about the 14 year old girl in State care today who is being regularly taken out of care and gang-raped.

To whom are you referring @RuthfulThe ? I’ve never denied that some Britons owned slaves, and I’ve never met any who do. I just deny that today’s British taxpayers owe a debt of reparation for what a tiny minority of their ancestors did two centuries ago.

Irish national media taking the 10 on a 90-10 issue as usual. Because the national media and NGO class are the same people. They are a small, taxpayer funded clique of radical progressives who believe the public is stupid and need to be dragged into the progressive light.
Most national media stories and opinion pieces seem to think they've managed some kind of rearguard action protecting their ideological fellow travellers in the NGO sector by talking about boundary setting as though normal families don't already do this.
It's very simple, this week, out of touch, radical progressives equated a granny hugging her grandchild with rape and the state paid for it using taxpayer money. The ad wasn't a clever ploy to spark a "conversation", it wasn't a both sides issue, it was a mask-off moment for the NGO sector - and latterly the national media.
It's time to cut all public funding to social justice theory-driven NGOs and to all supposedly private news outlets. Massive funding has only emboldened both and strengthened their activist resolve against the interest of the people whose tax money is being used.

It is hardly surprising that someone open to rejoining the EU would be open to free movement.
Burnham's romanticised picture of EU membership ignores the fact that we literally had no idea who was coming into the country before 2016. We were always told there were 3 million EU citizens in Britain. When we counted them we discovered there were 6 million.
Any attempt to return to free movement has to reckon with the fact that a country like Spain has legalised the status of a million plus illegal migrants since then, and with the very visible tensions and anxieties amongst EU member states on the subject.
There can be no viable policy which doesn't involve HMG having full control over who comes into this country. We aren't there at the moment, but we will need to get there in the end. Andy Burnham may not understand this now, but he will have to do so eventually.
❗️EXCLUSIVE❗️
Andy Burnham has opened the door to Britain rejoining the EU’s free movement rules, arguing an “honest discussion” about the idea is needed
The PM said the nature of immigration has been “different” since Brexit, with more foreigners moving permanently to the UK rather than returning home
Burnham noted how his father, Roy, an engineer, took advantage of the EU rules in the 1990s to work in Germany
He also said since leaving the bloc Britain has lost access to ‘Eurodac’, an EU database on border crossings
“I think you have to have a very factual, quite evidence-based debate about this,” he said
Burnham made clear staying out of free movement would **not** be a red line for talks (unlike adopting the Euro or rejoining the Schengen Area)
Burnham made the comments to me in one of four interviews conducted during his first 100 days in office. All unpacked in tomorrow’s Sunday Times.
It’s big news. Free movement seen as a key reason why the country voted Brexit in 2016. No PM has made the argument for potentially rejoining since… until now.
(Important to note: Burnham accepts there were ‘very significant challenges’ too with free movement. Hasn’t reached a firm decision yes or no. He continues to mull over ‘options’ for closer EU ties)
KEY BURNHAM QUOTE
“Freedom of movement had very significant challenges associated with it and I spoke about them in my previous time in Parliament. But, at the same time, it was a type of immigration that perhaps wasn’t as difficult (as now).
“Revolving door migration where people would come and then go back is different. The balance of migration has changed, hasn’t it, since then? I think we’ve just got to have an honest discussion about those things.”

The dual meaning of the word "liberal" must be one of the most confusing things for young adults starting to listen to political arguments.
Think of it: it is used for illiberal movements on the one hand, and for freedom oriented groups on the other hand.

Sally Anne Dixon formerly Stephen Dixon who attacked and abused 7 children has now been sent to a women's prison with a mother and baby ward. 'Sally' decided to become a women before sentencing and did these terrible things to children as a man, who btw still has male genitals. The victims were forced to refer to their abuser as a women with a penis! I honestly don't know what the hell is happening
