What a great loss. Spike was a wonderful human being and a fierce champion of social justice. My thoughts are with all his family and friends.
Solidarity with all racialised people across the UK right now. There are no protests, no legitimate concerns, there is racism. This isn’t some random thuggery, it comes from years of our media and politics mainstreaming Islamophobia. That must be called out.
I’m chuffed to announce I’ve been promoted to Professor. As a first generation student, from a working class family in the Valleys, this means heaps to me. I owe so much to the support of the collaborators, colleagues and students I’ve worked with over the years. Thank you!

Immigration legal aid is now available to only a fraction of the people who need it, thanks to devastating cuts.
And those cuts might have racked up additional costs by putting pressure on other parts of government.
What's the true #CostofInjustice? Read the report to find out.
Important research on legal aid cuts shows wasted money and “embarrassing” data gaps. Read the report by @emarshallexeter @SamuelPEngle and Siân Pearce with @publiclawprojct @migrantsorg @JoWilding1 @DrDanielNewman

I’ve loved editing two books for this wonderful series. Both were hugely enjoyable, they allowed me to bring brilliant people together to tell really interesting stories. And @sandbergrlaw is just great to work with. I highly recommend it!
We are looking for editors for further books in our Analysing Leading Works in Law series published by @RoutledgeLaw

Unless @AAT_transcribes can book £4K of paying work by 31st May, we’ll have to close our doors because revenues have just been so unsustainably low.
Book us or share with your networks—a few large projects is all we need to stay afloat 🚣♀️
“As a disabled, neurodivergent freelance contractor, I’ve dealt with exploitatively low pay rates, and clients that wouldn’t pay. AAT had made a huge difference in my life.”

I’ve always used AAT for my transcription (maybe half a dozen projects) and it’s the best. Everything about this disability-led accessibility-focused company is brilliant and vital. If you can help to save it please do contribute 💷
🚨Help save AAT!
We post this with heavy hearts. Our future beyond March hangs in the balance, and we're crowdfunding for our survival.
