This looks really interesting!
Our member, BCS Health and Care, is hosting a free webinar next week looking at how AI could support people with managing their health between clinical appointments.
The webinar will explore how agentic AI can combine trusted medical knowledge, validated models and an individual's own health data to provide more personalised support.
The discussion will look at how Conversational Health Agents are built using openCHA, an open-source framework developed at the UCI Institute for Future Health, with examples including ChatDiet and an agent for diabetes management.

We had a great discussion at last week's PRSB Advisory Board meeting, with members joining us to explore some of the biggest opportunities and challenges facing digital health and care.
We heard two excellent presentations during the meeting that we felt would be of interest to our wider community, so we're pleased to share the recordings.
A particular highlight was hearing from Dr Michael McCabe about the #CallMe campaign, which encourages healthcare organisations to routinely ask people what they would like to be called. It's a simple change that can have a significant impact on patient experience, dignity and safety.
We also heard from PRSB Executive Clinical Director Dr Nilesh Bharakhada, who shared insights into the rapid growth of Ambient Voice Technology (AVT). As adoption accelerates across the NHS, ensuring safe, consistent implementation through information standards will be essential to maintaining record quality, interoperability and patient safety.

The meeting also included an update on PRSB's wider work programme, including support for Connected Medication Management, diabetes device interoperability, the Single National Formulary and health apps standards harmonisation. A big thank you to everyone who joined the discussion and shared their questions and perspectives.

As Parliament debates the NHS Modernisation Bill at its second reading today, the focus is on introducing a Single Patient Record across England.
The government estimates that the Single Patient Record could lead to 20,000 fewer A&E attendances and 6,000 fewer hospital admissions each year, while also reducing medication errors and easing administrative burden across the NHS. It also has the potential to improve people’s experience of care by reducing the need to repeat medical history and helping information follow them more easily when they move between services.
PRSB sets the specifications that define how health and care data is recorded and shared, making it trustworthy, comparable and useful across care settings.
We support a system where data is captured once, consistently understood, and used to improve care, learning and outcomes for everyone.
As plans for a Single Patient Record progress, standards will be essential to ensuring data flows where it is needed, when it is needed.

We’re in London today for the Automating for Better Care Forum, bringing together colleagues across health and care, to share updates and learning on digitising and automating medicines management. Many thanks to the Royal College of Pharmacy for sharing their meeting venue (and air con! it's still a hot one today).
We are hearing from NHS England on technology, data and digital priorities for medicines management, alongside updates on the Optimed unit dose project from University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, findings from early implementations in A&E from University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, and an update on medicines barcoding from GS1 UK. Looking forward to a great session.
