We're back from Germany after treatment #3 and I'm feeling good!
Also, last night @SamanthaTwenty and I were honored with the “Fighter of the year” award from Team Ream Foundation at the Penn State Men’s Basketball game.
Thank you for all your continued thoughts and prayers!
@DefineFinancial nothing is off the table at the moment. We are seeking a traditional publisher, or even an agent, at the moment but I wouldn't mind self publishing. I love the work from Kids Can Press, Bloomsbury Children’s Books, Simon & Schuster, and Chronicle Books.
I haven’t looked into a kickstarter but I’m open to the idea. Any examples of books that have gone this route for publishing?

Hey all! Thanks for the love. This project was done while I was recovering from surgery. The full book is complete and you can see some spreads at ryanrussell.design/My-annoyi…. Next step is connecting with a publisher or agent. Anyone have contacts they would like to share?
Back from Germany this morning and feeling good. Back in the states and ready for what’s next @SamanthaTwenty!
Question from a student recently: "Where do you look for inspiration?"
Answer: I've never actively searched for inspiration. Ex. I recently happened upon an interview with Renato Cascaro (incredible film poster artist). Inspiration happens when you aren't actively looking for it.

Thanks all for the well wishes. I feel good and ready to take the next step with treatments. Treatments start Monday and we couldn't be more excited!

I can’t emphasize this enough. Incredible perks!

This is amazing. Im looking to see how to best get to the Black Forest.
This Friday @SamanthaTwenty and I head to Tübingen, Germany (our first time there) where we will visit the incredible people at CeGat. We need some fun things to do besides the the medical treatments.
Any suggestions about what @SamanthaTwenty and I can do while we're there?
4. Understand the difference between what you can do, and what you should do. Stay focused on the problem. Don't let the bells and whistles fool you.
3. Stay lean (with teams). Avoid bloat. Adding more people doesn't necessarily mean improved (or even equal) efficiency. Often times it means teams become less efficient.
2. Never fall in love with an idea. Be prepared to pivot. It's okay to acknowledge failures. What worked? What can be improved? Improve the product or the experience. Continue to iterate and test.
