“Iran and the Bomb, the United States, Iran and the Nuclear Question” is the culmination of my research and writings on one of the most pressing issues of US national security since 1975.
It is now available on Amazon for pre-order.

Definitely trying to create chaos in the country.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in an exclusive interview with Iran International, urged Iranians to stop paying taxes and stock up on fuel ahead of winter, predicting the economy would shrink by more than 25% in the year ending March 2027.

Like Nixon- history judges the Shah more fairly.
Forty-seven years ago, David Frost asked Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, then living in exile, how he believed Iranians would judge him fifty years later.
His answer was brief, but memorable:
“I hope they will discover the truth before fifty years have passed.”
The Shah had spent years warning of dangers that others were reluctant to recognise.
He spoke of the unlikely alliance between the radical left and religious extremists — what he called the Red and Black alliance. Two movements seemingly opposed in ideology, yet united in their determination to bring down his government.
He also warned that the forces destabilising Iran would not necessarily stop at Iran’s borders. He understood that the consequences of extremism and regional instability could eventually reach Europe and threaten Western interests.
At the time, many dismissed his warnings.
Nearly half a century later, Western leaders are themselves warning of the dangers of political extremism, radical Islamism and threats to European security — dangers the Shah had warned could extend far beyond Iran’s borders.
Meanwhile, in Iran, a new generation is challenging the narrative of 1979, questioning the promises of the revolution and openly chanting the name of the man it overthrew.
A generation that has returned to history, questioning what it was taught and searching for its own answers.
For many Iranians today, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi is no longer the figure portrayed by the revolutionaries of 1979. He has become a symbol of stability, modernisation, national pride and the ambition to build a powerful, prosperous Iran.
Perhaps the most remarkable part of his legacy is not simply what he built, but what he saw coming.
History has had nearly fifty years to judge him.
And in the streets of Iran, a new generation is delivering its own verdict.
On the anniversary of his birth, the Shah’s name is once again being heard in the country he was forced to leave.

Flurry of Diplomacy in Iran as Regional Countries Try to Stave Off War. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan made a rare joint visit to Tehran amid reports that the U.S. and Israel were drawing up plans to renew their attacks on Iran.

First time worked out so well so let’s try again. And what could possibly go wrong.
"Israel and the US are preparing an operational plan aimed at toppling the Iranian regime...a devastating direct strike against the Iranian leadership, similar to operations carried out in the past, combined with additional military measures not previously undertaken, could set in motion a process that would ultimately bring down the regime." israelhayom.com/2026/10/26/n…

And yet- it was Trump who bragged about “wiping out” Iran and destroying its civilization. Our friends and relatives in Iran were saying goodbyes to each other.
“I didn’t have to fire a missile.” - President Obama on Iran.
That’s right, Mr. President. You didn’t.
Not when Iran-backed militias in Iraq killed American service persons there.
Not as the IRGC deepened ties with the Taliban (but also al-Qaeda and the Haqqani network) as it killed Americans in Afghanistan.
Not when the IRGC-QF plotted to kill the Saudi Ambassador to Washington in a Georgetown restaurant via Mexican drug cartels
Not as Iran began enriching uranium to 20 percent purity, which is highly enriched.
Not as Iran began enriching uranium in centrifuges in its highly fortified underground Fordow facility for the first time.
Not as Iran threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz.
Not as IRGC-Navy fast attack craft routinely harassed American Navy vessels and commercial traffic in and around the Persian Gulf.
Not as Iran tested medium range ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear payloads with genocidal phrases against Israel written in Hebrew.
Not as Iran continued to work on space launch vehicles with the ultimate goal of developing longer-range strike platforms that could one day threaten the European continent and the US homeland.
Not as Iran beefed up its drone program.
Not as the regime successfully co-opted the Houthis in Yemen and began to provide them with material support as the group entered the Axis of Resistance.
Not as the Islamic Republic backed Assad’s slaughter of Syrians to the hilt and intervened decisively, later along with Russia, in that theater and created a security and humanitarian catastrophe I the Middle East and refugee crises that has thrown a massive curveball into European politics and demographics.
And last but certainly not least, not as Iranians whose calls for support you ignored during the Green Movement were killed, arrested, beaten, and tortured.

OBAMA: He pulled out of the JCPOA, starts this war—Seven months later, six months after they declared victory, how's that war going?
Our allies and our bases have been attacked. Americans have been killed. Hundreds of Americans have been wounded. We have run down our stock of missiles. And Iran now has veto power over the strait of hormuz, where oil goes through to the world market.
This is the reason why the price of oil is up. Nobody disputes that. This is the reason the price of diesel is up. This is the reason why the price of just about everything is up.
Meanwhile, you got the defense secretary who's squarely focused on important matters: the jawlines and testosterone levels of our troops.
These are not serious people. And the problem is you end up having to pay the price for their lack of seriousness.
