📈#ATENEA, a #tool that reports on #bladeerosion and production losses caused during the lifespan of #windturbines
💻The tool #OpenAccess performs an #analysis that takes into account different ☔️ rainfall and 🎐wind conditions, as well as the operating scenarios of the wind turbine. Specifically, it evaluates differential erosion in different #sections of the blade.

In a wind farm, turbines interact through the air around them. The flow behind a turbine slows down and becomes turbulent, reducing energy for downstream turbines. This effect is called a wake. Understanding wakes is key to predicting performance and optimizing layouts.
