Prometheus represents foresight, the theft/gift of fire to humanity, rebellion against divine or absolute authority, and the suffering that can accompany progress.

Let’s build a classical-futuristic world!
@SamyazaSpeaks
there’s something about prometheus that feels bigger than just another project.
the idea of taking the fire, carrying it forward and using it to push humanity somewhere it’s never been before just fits the moment perfectly.
starship, space, technology, the whole @elonmusk’s idea of becoming multiplanetary.
bullish 🔥

the details on this Prometheus statue is insane, even @elonmusk approves

Prometheus Thread🧵:
A 50ft tall bronze Prometheus statue was recently built by @AtelierMissor_ at @SpaceX Starbase Texas
But who is Prometheus and why could this be the next 1B+ coin? ⤵️
prometheus is more than just a name.
it represents humanity taking what was once out of reach and making it our own, > knowledge, fire, technology, the ability to push past whatever limits we’re given.
and that’s exactly what we’re watching happen with what @elonmusk is building.
you should be bullish on what prometheus represents.

Fading the fire means ignoring the future. Prometheus is already standing with the torch up next to the rockets. Every launch and every photo puts $Prometheus on the timeline.

Looks like our statue is getting a lot of criticism. Some people are calling it “out of proportion.”
I think there’s been a misunderstanding, so let me clear it up: the statue is, in fact, very beautiful.
the lore behind prometheus.
a 50-foot bronze statue of prometheus, now fully erected near @StarbaseTX, built by a french foundry and cost roughly $1m.
in greek mythology, prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity, basically becoming a symbol for knowledge, technology and human progress.
now you have this massive figure holding a torch standing next to the place where starship is being built and launched.
With a connection to @elonmusk
where he actually acknowledged the statue’s symbolism.
prometheus gave humanity fire.
@elonmusk is trying to give humanity the ability to become multiplanetary.
you need to pay more attention.
Prometheus unbound 🔥

We tried to rent a 50-ton crane to lift the statue. The company refused. They said it was too risky because the statue was too heavy for the crane. So we lifted it with our 16-ton crane.

What a unique company culture - inspiring
The statue of Prometheus is finally finished.
It was cast in Paris, crossed the Atlantic, and was assembled at Starbase. It took us 100 days to go from nothing to this.
People of the West, we have lived through an era devoid of dreams, devoid of destiny.
But the time has come to reclaim our dream of antiquity.
In a few months, we will start building a new city. It will be the most magnificent city in all of history.
After all, the great dream of the West has always been to rebuild Rome.
Come walk beside us in this endeavor. The world is waiting.
