Updated timesseries for Watson river discharge South-West Greenland now available for download at promice.dk. Cumulative discharge at 8.3 km3, 2019 ranks third of 14 years, just ahead of 2016.

The solid ice discharge (iceberg production) from the Greenland ice sheet for the period 2018-09-01 to 2019-08-04 was 498 Gt (mass loss). The figures illustrates the contributions from each sector seen in the map.

The northern branch of 79-fjord glacier (Spalte glacier) is almost detached from the main glacier. Have a look at the animated gif.
