let’s have a look at the trenches right now.
SOL is down, TVL is down, there are more tokens than traders and platforms are shilling rugs.
this is exactly why meme.fun was built.
a place for memes with lower fees, deeper liquidity and less value leaving the chart. no migration, no utility slop, just better markets for coins people actually want to trade.
we want to give communities and bagworkers the best place to launch their memes. launch memes on meme.fun

traders are already paying terminal fees and slippage.
why should the protocol take another large cut on top?
meme.fun keeps protocol fees small, and as a token matures, the total fee drops sharply with the majority of fees routing to the liquidity pool.
less extraction, deeper markets. trade and launch tokens on meme.fun.

when a token grows, it should become cheaper to trade.
at 350 sol of real liquidity in the pool, fees are cut from 1.18% -> 0.3%, eliminating creator fees entirely.

the best hiding spot is in plain sight
pump is not even trying to hide the fact that they’re a casino meant to extract from retail. they’re actually now starting to embrace what their brand truly is.
“pill your friends” is not about helping people discover good assets. it’s about getting more people into the casino. shameful honestly.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Pump.fun promotes @kimchi1x as an aspirational celebrity trader via ads and partnership posts. His widely cited $40M $TRUMP profit lacks public wallet verification, while associated wallets show repeated early bundling/sniping of launches followed by sells.

most launchpads eventually migrate your liquidity somewhere else.
meme.fun tokens exist on a single canonical curve from launch onward.
no migration. one home.

be on the right side, trade memecoins on meme.fun.

meme coins were the start of something great, and they're here to stay.
launch meme coins on meme.fun.
gm,
i’ve been trading for years and have watched this community change through every phase of the market.
i’ve also been told plenty of times to be realistic, that a new launchpad wouldn’t work, that the market was already too crowded, that people wouldn’t care.
but the meaning of meme.fun is quite literally in the name.
a place for memes, communities and bagworkers to launch and push coins on a less extractive curve.
the team is being realistic, and that realism is knowing that we can deliver the best product for traders and devs alike.

the more this space adds to memecoins, the less they feel like memecoins.
no stock wrappers. no utility slop. no unnecessary tokenomics.
just better markets for memes.

when a snake begins eating its own tail it is known as the "ouroboros", and unless the snake is able to realize what it is doing, it will often lead to its own death.
the trenches have spent too long paying fees to platforms that don't care if they win. these fees leave the eco and then the circulating capital in the trenches grows smaller and smaller leading to worse charts.
the intention has and always will be to bring back memes.
memes are about communities and bagworking around a single token. not fighting off vamps or getting extracted by devs and platforms.
the meme.fun team is still very hard at work getting integrations done in the hopes of realizing a return to memes for devs and traders alike.

changes can only happen when traders realize what is happening to the eco.
crypto in itself is already a zero sum game, now imagine a single platform extracting tens of millions a week from the eco, and then going and selling that sol.
a once zero sum game now becomes negative.

a big part of the trenches back in the good days was communities forming around a token and bagworking the hell out of the token.
the problem is that community driven slow cooks with bagworkers and everything just aren't profitable for the launchpads they launch off of, or are just sometimes too slow of a cook for the dev.
part of returning to memes isnt just about launching memes, it's about returning to the old way of doing things.
meme.fun is live and the objective has never been clearer.
educate everyone in the trenches on how much liquidity the top launchpads are extracting from this ecosystem. billions pulled out of the very coins you hold, and it's been normalized so long nobody questions it anymore.
i built meme.fun for two reasons: bring the upside back to memecoins, and beat pumpfun.
you all know david vs goliath. we're david. they're a giant with a $2b war chest. but you know how that story ends. we’re just getting started.

part of the "launchpad meta" that everyone is used to, is seeing some gimmicked token officially tied to the launchpad.
what does this mean for new unestablished launchpads?:
it directly ties the success of the launchpad to the token, and in most cases, the lifetime of the token often overshadows the product the team came to build.
look at "lesgo" for example, it launched ~2 weeks ago and reached an all time high of 10m, and is now down 95% since then, sitting at 400k. as a result of their main token slowing down, so did their platform.
however, platforms can still have runners built by communities (memecoins) without having an official platform token.
meme.fun is a home for meme coins to grow and send, not a one time extraction on a platform token.

they are doing super low fees and better liq, trying to bring back normal memecoins, not extractive launchpad mechanics

i don't think it's a secret that pump has been extracting and ruining the space since it's inception.
their fee structure is set up in a way where they make the most money on the low caps everyone hates. this is only amplified by the investors they need to satisfy.
they've gamified and exploited meme coins, turning a community based part of crypto into a casino.
memes were never supposed to be like this, and hopefully they wont forever.
for now: believe in memes, believe in meme.fun
BREAKING: Vitalik states that @Pumpfun has killed memecoins by turning new retail investors entering the crypto space into degenerate gamblers and with no real-world use, the industry will die fast.
He also stated that @pumpfun has been a net negative to crypto since it was released in 2024 by draining the $crypto ecosystem and turning retail into gamblers not investors.
He also said the platform is setup like a slot machine you keep clicking until your fully drained - pump ultimately wins but retail loses.
building your own AMM means controlling your fee structure.
too many launchpads in the space are set up for extraction, with the MAJORITY of their fees being protocol fees.
this means every day, money is leaving the ecosystem.
traders deserve coins that become cheaper to trade, who's fees route back into the token.
it's still only day 1. we're here to stay. RTM
now that meme.fun is live, lets look at the product:
meme.fun is it's OWN protocol, not a wrapper of another protocol, meaning we control our fee structure.
there is no migration or graduation event, a meme.fun token launches on one bonding curve that progressively converts virtual liquidity into real liquidity, and that curve stays it's home forever.
our fees cut off substantially as a token grows (quite early in fact) which gives the tokens room to grow and makes them cheaper to trade.
the team is hard at work getting the product integrated everywhere.
this is only day 1, and we have so much more planned.
