A little personal update. ❤️ I’ve mentioned this before, but for almost four years now, my bloodwork has been abnormal, and we still haven’t gotten to the bottom of what’s causing it. I’ve been through more tests than I can count, including a few bone marrow biopsies. This past Tuesday, I went in for another screening, and yesterday I got a call that they found an area of concern and want me to come back for additional testing. I’m not going to lie, it’s a lot to process, especially when you’ve already spent years trying to figure out what’s going on. I haven’t been feeling the greatest lately, but I still get up every day, work, show up for my community, and try to keep everything moving like I always do. I don’t usually share much about what I’m dealing with personally, and I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I just think sometimes people forget that there’s a real person behind these accounts, and we all have things going on that nobody sees. I don’t have any answers yet, and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself. So if I’m a little slower responding to messages or seem a bit off lately, just know I’m doing my best. I’m still here, still working, and still doing what I love. ❤️ ILY all 🫶🏼

I still get nervous before going live, and putting myself out there hasn’t always been easy. But I’ve learned that sometimes you have to push yourself outside your comfort zone to grow. Why did your stop get hit on a perp when CME never went there? A wick is how far price travels when orders hit the book. How far it travels depends on how many orders are sitting at each price. CME NQ is one of the deepest markets in the world. A big sell eats a level or two and stops. A perp runs on its own, smaller book. The same sell can eat through 10+ price levels before it finds enough buyers. Same order. Bigger wick. In this example, the same 60-contract sell moves the deep book 1 point and the thin book 13 points. Same 8-point stop. One is safe, one is stopped out. It's worst at night, around news, and on weekends on 24/7 markets. So don't size a perp like it's CME. Give your stop room for the market you're actually on, or trade smaller. Those of you that show up to my stream— you guys know this already. Don't be like this guy and not understand what you're trading. It pisses me off when people don't take an hour to learn what they're trading. This is exactly why I teach perps separately and why I’ve been teaching so much lately because I see people blowing their accounts because they don’t know what they’re doing. He's comparing two different charts and calling it a discrepancy. The Tradovate chart is CME NQ. The Vest chart is a perp. One is CME and the other isn't. Even though you can typically long or short both the same way, it won't be the same chart. The prices won't match tick for tick and the candles won't look identical. That's not a glitch. That's two different products. And here's the part most people miss. Not even all perps are the same. My Funded Perps tracks NDX, the Nasdaq 100 index itself. Vest tracks NQ, the futures contract. Same Nasdaq, different source. So even two perp platforms can show you different prices at the same moment. Think of it like this. NDX is the index. NQ is a futures contract built on that index. A perp is a contract built to follow one of them. Each layer can drift a little from the others. Close, but never identical. Then there's sizing, and this is where accounts get blown. On CME NQ, one contract is $20 a point. Simple. On a perp, you size by dollar amount, and that amount decides what each point costs you. Copy your futures size over without doing that math and you can be risking way more than you think. Put that on an account with a tighter drawdown than your futures eval, and one move against you ends it. Same direction on two platforms doesn't mean same trade, same price, same size, or same risk. Before you blast a platform publicly, learn what you're trading. Different instrument, different chart, different math, different sizing. Learn it or keep donating.
