The Universe really gave us flowing beaches and medicinal plants and towering trees and a sky that pours down our most precious resource. We’re really born into abundance man
That orange mofo really parading @NICKIMINAJ around like Sarah Baartman. I’m genuinely in disbelief

One of my biggest pet peeves is deadbeat fathers who are active in some of their kids’ lives but not others. You’re still a deadbeat…
Nicki’s fall from grace is so extreme it’s gonna require its own little documentary at some point. I don’t think anyone who was witnessing her fame 15 years ago saw this coming
I’m so angry that’s she’s a dickhead, identity crisis having degenerate because she’s also one of the greatest performers of our generation.
Def could’ve got more than double the carats if he went lab grown. It is what it is lol we knew better going forward

So.... did @ussoccer ever release that study they paid for about why Black kids don't play soccer at a high rate?
Not that this fact can be refuted, but I’m having a hard time here… what book is this from?

There is a reason the Cleopatra argument is so persistent.
It is the only one available.
Think about what it requires you to believe to maintain the position that ancient Egypt was not African:
You have to believe that a civilization located on the African continent, surrounded by African populations, drawing on the Nile Valley civilizational complex that stretches deep into the African interior, sharing linguistic roots with other African language families, trading and intermarrying with Nubian kingdoms to the south for thousands of years...
Was somehow not African.
Was a separate category.
A Mediterranean anomaly.
An island of non-Africa on the African continent.
That belief requires so much architectural maintenance.
So many careful exclusions.
So many reclassifications.
So much sustained institutional effort.
The Cleopatra argument is what you reach for when all of that architecture is under pressure and you need something that sounds like a fact.
It is one true fact deployed in the service of a framework that cannot survive honest examination.

The type that deserve the world 🥺
My friend's dad accidentally became the most popular person in his apartment building because he didn't understand the group chat.
Someone posted, “Does anybody have a ladder?”
He replied, “Yes.”
Then nothing.
The person eventually knocked on his door, borrowed the ladder, and returned it.
A few days later, somebody asked if anyone could help carry a sofa upstairs.
He replied, “Yes.”
He helped.
Then someone needed a ride to the hardware store.
“Yes.”
For about two months, this retired man responded to nearly every request with the same single word.
His daughter finally explained that he wasn't obligated to help everybody.
He looked offended.
“I know that.”
“Then why do you keep saying yes?”
He shrugged.
“People keep needing things I can do.”
Last month, the building organized a little birthday party for him in the lobby.
He showed up carrying extra folding chairs because he thought somebody might need them.
