🔍 NON-REGION GAMES
•Aug 21 — @ Long Beach
•Aug 28 — @ Forrest County AHS
•Sept 4 — vs Bay High
•Sept 11 — vs Moss Point
•Sept 18 — @ Pass Christian
•Sept 25 — vs Mobile Christian (Homecoming)
•Oct 2 — @ Stone
👉 This stretch will define how the season starts.
•Two straight road games to open the year
•Bay High and Moss Point at home are key swing opportunities
•Pass Christian on the road brings a physical test
•Mobile Christian is one of the tougher matchups on the schedule
•Stone on the road closes non-region with another challenge
👉 The goal here is simple: build confidence and find identity before region play begins.
———
🔥 REGION GAMES (FINAL FOUR — 4 OF 5 MAKE PLAYOFFS)
•Oct 9 — @ Tylertown
•Oct 16 — vs Saint Patrick
•Oct 23 — @ Presbyterian Christian
•Oct 30 — vs West Marion (Senior Night)
👉 With 4 of 5 teams making the playoffs, every game still matters for positioning — and avoiding that bottom spot.
•Opening at Tylertown is a tough start
•Saint Patrick at home is a key matchup
•Presbyterian Christian on the road is another challenge
•West Marion at home could carry major late-season implications
👉 It’s less about record — more about winning the right games at the right time.
———
📊 SEASON OUTLOOK
•New head coach
•Program coming off a down year
•8-game losing streak entering the season
•Playoff streak ended
•Opportunity in a 5-team region
👉 This is a foundation-building year with playoff opportunity.
If the Rockachaws:
•Take care of key non-region games
•Stay competitive week-to-week
•Show growth under a new system
👉 They’ll put themselves right back in the postseason mix.
———
🧠 FINAL THOUGHT
This season is about re-establishing the standard.
The Rockachaws don’t need to be perfect — they need to be consistent, competitive, and improving.
Do that… and they’ll be playing meaningful football again when it matters most.

🏈 George County Rebels — 2026 Schedule Breakdown
Head Coach: Kelly Causey
2026 Season: 2nd season at George County
Head Coaching Experience: 19th season overall
Coach Kelly Causey enters his second season leading the Rebels after guiding George County to the playoffs in 2025. The Rebels reached the postseason but fell in the first round. The focus in year two will be building on that playoff appearance and pushing deeper into the postseason.
————————————
🏈 Non-Region Games
Aug 28 — at Gautier
A Coast matchup to open the regular season. Gautier continues building its program, but opening on the road always brings challenges.
Sept 4 — South Jones
South Jones has been one of the stronger programs in South Mississippi. This will be an early measuring stick for the Rebels.
Sept 11 — Greene County (Veterans Night)
A local matchup that should bring energy and emotion to Rebel Stadium.
Sept 18 — at Wayne County
Wayne County traditionally fields physical teams and this road trip could be a tough test before region play.
Sept 25 — at Stone
A very interesting Coast matchup. Stone County has been one of the more consistent programs on the Coast in recent seasons.
————————————
🏈 Region 4-6A Games
Oct 9 — at West Jones
West Jones has been one of the most consistent programs in the region. Winning on the road here will be a challenge.
Oct 16 — Jim Hill (Homecoming)
A home opportunity for the Rebels to pick up an important region victory.
Oct 23 — Hattiesburg (Cheer Night)
Hattiesburg brings speed and athleticism every season. This could be a key playoff positioning game.
Oct 30 — at Terry
Terry has improved over the past several seasons and road region games are always tricky.
Nov 5 — Forest Hill (Senior Night)
Regular season finale at home that could have postseason implications.
————————————
Stat Man Early Schedule Take
George County faces a balanced schedule in 2026 with a mix of Coast opponents and Pine Belt programs before entering Region 4-6A play.
The stretch against South Jones, Wayne County, and Stone County should help prepare the Rebels for the region race.
With Kelly Causey entering year two at George County and his 19th season overall as a head coach, the goal will be turning last year’s playoff appearance into a deeper postseason run.
