Libraries are essential for millions of people. Outrageous if they are closed again.
DCMS is still in discussion with Cabinet Office to confirm the position for libraries during lockdown. We will know more tomorrow. I’m grateful to @sheilabennett for making the case for libraries. She’s done so much chasing answers this weekend, she needs some roller skates.

Govts contributed greatly to the crisis by closing and privatising vital NHS hospitals,beds and services over three decades. There is a lack of capacity. It must now renationalise and rebuild health and social services instead of throwing money at private sector &shareholders.
