I am currently writing a piece on the future of public philosophy & would be very interested to know your thoughts. What do you think should be the topics, areas, modes of engagement, direction of travel? What are the particular opportunities & challenges?

If you are pitching and want to make claims about history, it's always better to use events, things that happened in the world, rather than texts (movies, advertisements, etc) as evidence.

Yep. You don't have to be original - and you probably shouldn't make that a priority - if you want to make a contribution to public humanities. Sometimes just explaining something well that people haven't been exposed to, is doing a great service – at Milwaukee, WI
There is a lot of bad in here but I hated this part alot.
One of the real things that's actually occuring in the real world is that the general public don't know things they really should...so being a public intellectual is pretty damn important.

I'm really excited to bring our expertise @collagora @mcmasterhum to this event. Social and Human research and know-how have much to contribute. But fruitful collaborations take trust and time. Most importantly, they also take a good amount of skills.
This event on Collaborating Externally to Find New Ideas, Expertise and Advice explores how public servants can access new ideas, expertise and advice through external collaboration.
Register early for the next event in the Government of the Future Series. catalogue.csps-efpc.gc.ca/pr…
