Programming has become just a matter of being good at arguing with the most mischievous five year old imaginable.

Kinda funny that Zuckerberg spends 87 hojillion on the metaverse and gets absolutely nowhere, and then a bunch of weebs create it in their spare time because they're bored and horny.
Literally, is there a way to bring class action lawsuits against those responsible for highway crashes? Thousands of people lost hours of their lives + gas + lost wages in this mess on i-95 this morning.
>My parents just blew all their saved cash to help the child who provided grandkids first.
Sounds reasonable..?
My parents gifted one of my sisters her portion of inheritance early and she is MILES ahead in life compared to my other sister and me because buying that first home rolled into further homes then selling at the peak of COVID. They amassed considerable equity over 10+ years.
Turns out there never was an inheritance. My parents just blew all their saved cash to help the child who provided grandkids first.
It’s been a family wound for over a decade now that is still ever so slowly trying to heal.
I’ve told my parents I expect nothing from them and they need to enjoy their retirement years. The guilt they have for that decision is punishment enough, although it took me years to get to that point.
Two hypotheticals:
1. He stays in and wins - how are we supposed to take his texts? When he doubled down to say "No, this is how I really feel"?
2. He stays in and loses - now all of Virginia knows the exact % of the electorate who agrees with him.
Neither is tolerable.

The alleged shooter in Southport North Carolina is a malicious filer in the federal docket. I went to see what it was about. The filings is.... insane.

Any man who's obsessed with just one hobby ends up alone like this because no matter how glum things get they somehow never get bored of the thing that's ruining their life.
Two tractor trailers collided and killed a man spinning a sign outside of a Little Caesars in Richmond.
No word on the identities of the drivers... guess we'll see.
Feeling enormous grief for the man killed. What a way to go.

Officers are deployed at key points along the route as well as the form up point. There are additional officers in the vicinity of the counter protest.
This week we have also distributed leaflets and deployed signage as a clear reminder about relevant offences.
I'd like to wish a very unpleasant Monday to all of the kids' toy manufacturers who decided to use sans-serif for their capital "I"s and forever confuse children every time they see a lowercase "l".
There's always this trade-off between 1. a place that isn't growing is dying (along with your ability to pay for roads, maintain water pipes, etc.) and 2. what do the people living there "get" for this growth? Maybe, somewhere down the line, enough density to support a Wegmans?

Maybe you can understand if I put it in Twitter terms.
Most of your followers are probably decent "neighbors". Imagine I start following you, and I then make 10 or 20 annoying comments in every thread. Sometimes I post gore. Sometimes I post porn. But I don't break the TOS, so you can't get rid of me.
Now imagine there's no block or mute functionality, so if you want to read the replies to your tweets, you have to go through dozens of mine to find the ones you actually want to read. You get notifications for every one of my comments because you can't turn them off. Everyone that "visits" you has to put up with me too.
I'm ruining your personal usage model on this app. But I'm getting great engagement numbers. I'm making money off it. In fact, I'm making money off the fact that you are not as annoying of a neighbor as I am!
If you don't like it, you can just move to a different social media platform, though. Sure, you won't have any of the same neighbors anymore, but that's your problem, not mine!

>Own a spear for self defense
>Hear a crash in the lower keep.
>"What the devil?!" as I grab my spear from wall and charge down the stairs.
>Four highwaymen have breached the wall and are carrying off my jester.
>Impale the first interloper on the end of my spear, it tears his guts out, he's dead on the spot
>Draw my crossbow and fire, missing the second thief entirely and killing the town cryer.
>I have to resort to the two dozen longbowmen on the battlements.
>"Avant, villains!" The rain of arrows shreds two of the men and my fool.
>Draw my sword and charge the last terrified peasant, lopping his arm off at the shoulder.
>He bleeds out while waiting for the night watch since no one knows how to tie a tourniquet.
>Just as God intended.
