It's really so depressing to watch these PSL teams playing in empty stadiums. I am being mindful of the economic conditions though that might mske it difficult to people to attend matches. I however think that most of these clubs are not doing enough to recruit supporters.

Kaizer Chiefs is saddened by the passing of Zambian football legend Freddy Mwila (1946–2026). Mwila played alongside our Chairman, Dr Kaizer Motaung, at Atlanta Chiefs, winning the 1968 NASL title together - a bond forever engraved in Kaizer Chiefs' history books. Condolences to his family and the Zambian football fraternity. #Amakhosi4Life

Kaizer Chiefs just need to tweak their recruitment strategy slightly. Right now, we need more experienced, quality players alongside young talent. I'm not saying we should stop buying or promoting youngsters, but they need a strong senior core to complement them.

He might easily surpass 15 goal mark. I see him getting to 20.

Exactly, as supporters we have been seeing the need of a finishing coach based on the clear-cut chances we create and miss because of players using wrong technique to finish. Head coach is there to set us up tactically, structurally and all those technicalities.

The question is whether any coach would risk him so early. I wouldn’t. The intensity of the match is too much for someone who has a leg they psychologically don’t trust. He is too great a player to risk losing again

LUXOLO BADI SHOULD NEVER REFEREE PIRATES GAMES A basic legal principle: no one should be a judge in their own cause. Nemo iudex in causa sua. A referee is a judge on the football field. Impartiality is therefore essential. In President of the Republic of South Africa v SARFU 1999 (4) SA 147 (CC), the Constitutional Court recognised the test of reasonable apprehension of bias. Actual bias need not be proved; the question is whether a reasonable, informed person would apprehend a lack of impartiality. Apply that principle to Luxolo Badi. Social media posts attributed to an account bearing his name contain Pirates-related messages, including “up da bucks”. Yesterday's Soweto Derby added fuel to the controversy. Chiefs questioned Mbuthuma's opening goal, an alleged missed second yellow card for Simphiwe Selepe and other refereeing decisions. Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz felt Pirates had effectively played with 12 men. I am not accusing Badi of cheating. But football cannot ignore the appearance of potential conflicts of interest. CONCLUSION Safa needs a transparent disclosure and recusal policy. My position is simple: Luxolo Badi should not referee Orlando Pirates games. The integrity of football depends not only on impartial decisions, but also on public confidence in those making them.

There was no way Luxolo Badi was giving Simphiwe Selepe a 2nd yellow card, no matter how many caution-worthy fouls he committed. He is a referee whose honour has a price tag. He has zero integrity. ■ Frosler gets a straight yellow for a foul on Moremi within the first 10 minutes. No warning, no talking to, just a yellow. ■ Sibisi commits 2 similar fouls, arguably more aggressive than Frosler's, on Duba and Silva. Not a single yellow card. He gets away with it because Pirates deserve the advantage. Forget the offside goal that gave Orlando Pirates the lead. The assistant referee was supposed to take charge of that decision. Zakhele Siwela doesn't miss much, but he missed it. But Simphiwe Selepe should never have played the entire first 45 minutes without being sent off. ■ He committed fouls that stopped promising attacks, was unnecessarily aggressive and repeatedly arrived late in tackles. Yet Luxolo Badi kept looking the other way. It was clear from the beginning that Pirates were benefiting from some very questionable refereeing decisions. And, ironically, it was a Kaizer Chiefs player who eventually received a 2nd yellow card. Miguel got a yellow card and eventually sent off for the same fouls Sibisi committed with zero cards given😂😂 This is Luxolo Badi, and yesterday he ensured Pirates win the derby🚮
