Turning 60, small but higher than them all. We salute and say Happy Independence Day, Lesotho. Other countries have higher points (e.g. Nepal) but on average the topography of Lesotho is so high above sea level that it is literally the world's highest country. Achieved independence today in 1966. Pics: Frozen waterfall, a moonlit lake, a cliff house.🇱🇸
