Pune Customs hosted a warm Meet & Greet with retired members of the staff, bringing together former Superintendents, Inspectors, Drivers, Marine Engineers, Hawaldars and members of the Marine staff who served along the Konkan coast. Samman Patras were presented in recognition of their dedicated service. It was more than a reunion; it was an expression of gratitude to those whose commitment, often away from the spotlight, strengthened the legacy of Customs along the coast. The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Customs & CGST Zonal Complex, Pune, with officers, staff and their families coming together to mark the occasion. The celebrations were made especially memorable by the enthusiastic participation of children, who added colour, energy and a sense of pride to the proceedings. Chief Commissioner, Customs & CGST, Pune zone visited ICD Talegaon and inspected the shed areas and bonded warehouses. He reviewed ICEGATE connectivity and the container-location tracking app, and advised officers to remain vigilant against mis-declaration, under-invoicing and non-compliance with DGFT restrictions. Major seizure by Pune Customs! Acting on specific intelligence, the Narcotics Cell of Pune Customs intercepted a truck near Solapur and seized 1,309 kg of ganja valued at ₹6.54 crore. The contraband, concealed in 636 packets inside 46 gunny bags, was recovered after a detailed search.
