I couldn't be more blessed with my choice of Priest to "preach me in" elegantly crafted & utterly charmed my congregation- he's been one of my biggest cheer leaders throughout this last few years - I've been very lucky with you as a mentor, mate and all round classy gent ❤️🎊
Congratulations and thanks to @Punkdimmitis who presided with a gloriously confident humility this morning, in front of God, me, and the 7 retired clergy in the congregation, who've settled among the squirrels and sand dunes. Some fertile conversations afterwards about my sermon.

In my long list of DailyPrayer app updates, I'd like it to grap your GPS location and automatically add this collect if there's an Amber alert for rain in your area.
1/2 Our service of Evensong tonight concluded with one of my favourite Hymns of all time, 'How great thou art', invoking fond memories of singing this on Lindersfarne on retreat

I had a conversation with someone this week, we concluded that Priests and goths have commonality (wear black, are in graveyards alot) concluded that Priests are goths but with hope. I rather enjoy that
Reconciliation, Josefina de Vasconcellos (1955)
I was almost moved to tears by this sculpture at Coventry Cathedral. Its embrace captures something so profound about love, relief and healing, and speaks so poignantly to the work of reconciliation still left to do in our world.
Christ in Majesty window, Holy Trinity, Coventry
Designed by Hugh Easton and dedicated in 1955, this window replaced Victorian glass blown out in 1940. Christ in Majesty sits upon a rainbow, his feet resting on the world, above historical figures from the story of the Church.

Only in London! 😂
Hundreds of people gathered at London Fields on Saturday evening to watch two men dressed as medieval knights jousting on e-bikes.
The event was organised by east London artists Jack Carden and Camtholomew the First, who reportedly advertised it as a joke before it unexpectedly took off.

Pumpkin-spiced latte? I have always maintained that gourds belong in the vegetable patch, not in one’s beverages.
Tonight at St Peter’s, we began our autumn talks series on the Bible and the sacraments, exploring the basics of the Bible and the three key foundations of Anglicanism: Scripture, tradition and reason.
Rewatching Downton Abbey, I'm being quietly reacquainted with my favourite TV character: The Dowerger Countess of Grantham and her style and unfiltered sass.
“Life is a game, where the player must appear ridiculous."
Your prayers would be much appreciated over the coming weeks, as I take some time on retreat to pray, encounter God, and reflect on the end of my curacy and the next chapter of my Priestly ministry.....
Thank you. 🙏 #curacy
On a week when I’ve felt as though my life has been an episode of The Vicar of Dibley, tonight’s Evensong offered a moment of beauty.
Our choir sang Howard Goodall’s The Lord Is My Shepherd exquisitely. A reminder of why we do this.

You may think you're cool, but you'll never be as cool as Lithuanian folk art St Francis doing stigmata kung fu (via limis.lt)
Delighted that our teenager's group will be leading a reflection they have written together as part of The Lord's Prayer tour with Archbishop of York at Liverpool Cathedral tomorrow - I pray that it will be an evening of being heard and being encouraged in their faith
A very kind 'thank you' bouquet from a funeral family, including special foliage from the deceased's rose garden. Very precious.
