In short: Alphabet is fucked, run!
As someone who has personally spent $500k / mo+ on Google Ads for years, I can tell you with certainty: This revenue growth in Search is artificial & extremely unhealthy for Google’s business long term Search volumes are declining as legacy search is being increasingly cannibalized by non-monetized LLM queries Google’s response? Manufacture revenue growth via short-sighted, highly extractive, customer-hostile tactics. I.e. charge advertisers more for lower quality clicks, including clicks they do not want and explicitly did not approve Google to charge them for A few examples to illustrate: For all of its history until recently, Google operated on a 2nd price auction model I.e. if you bid $5 CPC and the next highest bidder bids $1 CPC, Google charged you $1.01 for the click (one penny more than the 2nd highest bidder) rather than the $5 you bid This was a genius move by Google early on as it incentivizes advertisers to input their true maximum willingness to pay rather than trying to play the game of bidding low and constantly adjusting to try to stay just ahead of the next highest bidder while still not paying too much However recently, Google silently deprecated the 2nd price auction and began charging advertisers as much as their bid and budget caps allow, regardless of what anyone else is bidding It’s a short-sighted cash grab at the expense of the long term health of the advertiser ecosystem Making thing worse, Google also recently nerfed keyword targeting precision Google previously had precise keyword targeting settings that allowed advertisers pick individual search phrases to bid on, defined down to the character w/ exact match or phrase match targeting This was one of the core features that made search advertising magic, enabling advertisers to run extremely precise campaigns based on exactly what their target customer typed But now, even if you bid on a specific term or phrase using the strictest exact -match targeting settings, Google will show your ad across 1000’s of unrelated keywords, labeling them as as “exact match (close variant)” The definition of “close variant” means whatever they want it to and changes constantly. The result is advertisers get billed for clicks that are totally irrelevant to their business and that their targeting settings explicitly forbid Google from targeting. Google does it anyway and there’s no ability to turn this off So now exact match is broad match, and broad match is just meaningless spam This is all very bad for advertisers, but for Google, it allows them to show your ad and bill you for clicks across 1000x more searches that were previously going unmonetized (mainly because they’re garbage queries no one wants) This is how you grow revenue atop declining search volumes Lastly, and perhaps most egregiously, Google quietly stopped respecting budget caps by a factor of 2x. For example campaigns we’ve been running for years with $1000 daily budget caps suddenly began spending $2000+ per day And the extra spend is entirely on the garbage keywords Google arbitrarily throws in as “exact match (close variants)” which have no value to our business, but can’t be turned off Google offers no refunds nor any recourse for overspend or spend on keywords you explicitly did not target These are not the actions of a healthy business. These are the actions of company whose core business is in decline but desperately needs to pump quarterly earnings so Wall Street will continue to fund insane capex while hopefully looking through their rapidly deteriorating negative free cash flow Google operated a benevolent monopoly for the better part of 25 yrs Meaning the value Google captured from Search was but a small fraction of the value it created, and that spread produced a potential energy that justified expectations of high earnings growth far, far into the future This is now no longer the case At the alter of AI capex, Google is sacrificing the golden goose

This is the moment everything shifts. Lalo Salamanca should be dead. The hit on his house was supposed to end him. Instead, he’s standing there, slightly disheveled, making a calm phone call to his uncle Hector at Casa Tranquila like it’s just another Tuesday. He tells Hector he’s alive. That the men who came for him failed. And that he’s coming back to Albuquerque to settle it himself. But Hector doesn’t just take his word for it. He wants proof. Real proof. Something he can show the cartel so they believe Lalo didn’t just disappear or turn. Lalo hesitates at first, says there’s nothing… then the realization hits him. He knows exactly where the evidence is. You can see it in his face. The playful confidence is still there, but underneath it is something colder. Someone tried to erase him. Someone close enough to know where he lived. And now he has to prove he’s still breathing before he can make them pay. He hangs up, looks at the people who helped him escape, and calmly changes the plan. They’ll have to find their own way north. He has somewhere else to be. The man who was supposed to die just decided the game isn’t over. Do you think Lalo already knew who ordered the hit the second he survived… or did he only figure it out later?

In the 1.300 years of Muslim-Arab slave trade, approximately a million Greek Christians were sold as slaves. Greek girls who were pretty were forced into prostitution after being enslaved to Turks who took all their earnings. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. After Chios Massacre (March 30, 1822) where the Muslim Turks slaughtered 42.000 Christian Greeks, 52.000 women and children were sold as slaves in the markets of Smyrna & Constantinople. On September 1, 1821, Samothrace was devastated by the Ottomans through a general massacre, 10.000 men & boys were slaughtered while women & children were sold also in the markets of Constantinople & Smyrna. Only those who converted to Islam survived. On July 14, 1821, 486 Greeks of Cyprus were publicly beheaded because they didn't convert to Islam. On 13-22 September 1922, thousands of women (Greeks and Armenians) were mass raped and slaughtered in Smyrna from the Islamic horde, the Young Turks, who were motivated by racial and religious hatred. Only those who converted to Islam survived. They aimed the Christians of Anatolia and tried to erase our Greek footprint. They failed. On 6-7 of September 1955, during the Constantinople pogroms, Muslim Turks committed rapes againt the Greek community of the City. Hundreds of women expelled and raped. Now there is a minotiry of less than 2.000 Greeks living in the city that their ancestors found, Constantinople. In 1974, the Muslim Turks invaded the island of Cyprus and raped in the name of their god thousands of Greek women from 12 to 71 years old. Even the Church of Cyprus had consented through its tolerance to the amendment of the legislation in 1974, so that the abortions of that period became legal. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. Male Muslims were given the right to have sex with female captives (slaves), which was phrased: "those men who guard their genitals, except with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for then there is no blame" (Quran 23:6), which granted men the right to have sex not only with their wives but also with female captive slaves. Islam is an enemy for every woman. Anyone who willingly supports the Islamic invasion against native Europeans is a traitor to his or her own kind and ancestors. Picture: This is a Greek slave captured by the Muslim Turks during the Ottoman period. The sign writes: "ΡΟΔΟΝ ΕΤΩΝ ΙΗ ΠΩΛΕΙΤΑΙ ΜΝΑΣ Ω" which means: "Rose, eighteen years old for sale, for 800 mnas". "Don't smash it up, she's a sister!" As the West imports populations with strong ethnocollectivist loyalties, the primary axis of political competition will increasingly shift from the left-right distinctions to ethnic bloc politics.
As the West imports populations with strong ethnocollectivist loyalties, the primary axis of political competition will increasingly shift from the left–right distinctions to ethnic bloc politics. Blank-slate fundamentalism obscures this shift, while strands of Left theory demoralize some Westerners into helping bring it about. The concept of Left and Right originated in the seating arrangements of French Revolutionary politics, dividing defenders of inherited authority from advocates of revolutionary change. Over time, the left frame came to encompass disputes over property, class, hierarchy, equality, and political legitimacy. So, left–right is a historically particular European political framework; it is, then, a mistake to assume it is a universal organizing human principle. Within that evolving framework, the emerging 19th-c. socialist Left developed a far more ambitious philosophy of history, whose underlying logic would persist in later strands of revolutionary and critical thought. Rousseau had identified private property as a decisive source of inequality, but Moses Hess went further, joining Hegelian dialectics to a secularized history of human redemption. History became a movement from original unity through alienation and social division toward a higher, consciously achieved reconciliation. Before Marx's communist theory took shape, Hess had already made alienation, communal human existence, and the philosophy of action (Philosophie der Tat) central to a socialist program addressing money and economic relations. Marx drew heavily on Hess's framework, developing it through a more extensive analysis of political economy and history. But he also took Hess's openly redemptive vision of history, papered over much of its religious and esoteric language with the language of science and historical necessity, and kept the underlying structure intact. Hess spoke in the name of redemption; Marx in the name of history. Private property, money, and estranged labor expressed a deeper rupture in human existence, to be overcome through revolutionary praxis and the recovery of species-being. Transforming society also meant transforming man himself. So, this philosophy of history treats bourgeois society as an alienated order to be overcome through revolutionary praxis. Within influential post-Marxist and later critical traditions, the critique extends beyond capitalism to the inherited institutions, norms, and hierarchies of Western civ. Marginalized identity groups increasingly assume the emancipatory role once assigned to the proletariat. Western civilization itself becomes an object of negation and transformation, its eventual sublation presented as progress toward a higher social order. Yet this “universalism” is applied selectively in these Left frameworks. Western institutions and collective identities are treated as expressions of historical oppression, while the ethnocultural identities of marginalized groups are affirmed through recognition, liberation, and self-determination. Western particularity becomes something to overcome, while the particularity of others becomes something to preserve. This is the Left's ontological and teleological inversion of reality: Western civilization is recast as a structure of oppression, and its dismantling as progress toward a higher social order. The promise of universal emancipation thus accommodates particularistic struggles for group identity and power. This is a cultural solvent, and Western civilization is what it dissolves. The result of internalizing this frame is demoralization. Westerners who internalize this framework come to regard defending their inherited civilization as morally suspect, even an obstacle to human progress. As these assumptions spread through education, institutions, and political discourse, they determine which collective loyalties are legitimate and which must be overcome. People can help destabilize their inherited institutions, interpret the resulting crises as justification for further transformation, and eventually lose control over what replaces them. No coordinated plan is necessary. People simply apply the framework. Blank-slate assumptions reinforce this process by treating inherited political loyalties as products of socialization that citizenship and common institutions can supersede. What's more, these assumptions camouflage the political transformation underway. Westerners are encouraged to believe that populations with strong ethnocollectivist loyalties will eventually shed them through assimilation into a shared civic identity, even as the same Left frameworks encourage those groups to organize around those very loyalties. Yet kinship, tribe, religion, and ethnos have organized human societies for millennia. The same frameworks that affirm ethnic solidarity among marginalized groups cast comparable solidarity among European-origin populations as illegitimate. Those who internalize this asymmetry may find themselves competing against organized ethnic blocs while attacking members of their own population who assert similar collective interests. This asymmetry carries into electoral politics. Organized blocs can concentrate votes, coordinate demands, and make their support conditional. Britain's 2024 general election illustrates the mechanism. The Muslim Vote campaign endorsed candidates around community priorities, often across traditional party lines. In constituencies where Muslims made up at least 20% of the population, Labour's vote share fell by an average of 22.7 percentage points compared with 2019, while rising 5.5 points in constituencies where they made up less than 5%. Gaza was the immediate issue, and the shift cannot simply be attributed to one organization. Still, it illustrates how religious and community-based political mobilization can disrupt established party loyalties. Also, the organizational advantage matters more than numbers alone. A cohesive minority can exert considerable influence when its members coordinate their political demands, while a larger, more atomized population dispersed across competing parties and priorities may struggle to act collectively. Politicians do respond to groups that can reliably deliver votes, withhold support, or threaten an incumbent's position. Representation, resources, and institutional influence become subjects of collective bargaining. As the European-origin share of the electorate declines relative to populations from more collectivist cultural backgrounds, the balance between individualist and group-oriented political traditions may shift with it. Where those collective loyalties translate into coordinated electoral action, demographic change also changes the distribution of political bargaining power. A more individualist population, dispersed across competing parties and priorities, then face pressure to organize counter-blocs to preserve its influence. This creates a self-reinforcing process. Successful collective mobilization encourages competing groups to organize in response, making ethnic allegiance increasingly consequential even for those who initially rejected that basis of political competition. Parties can retain their familiar ideological language even as the coalitions sustaining them reorganize along ethnic lines. Left and Right may linger as political labels, while the contest over how society should be governed increasingly gives way to competition over what ethnos-bloc controls its institutions.

Labour have won the Holborn & St Pancras by-election, but one thing really stands out to me. The turnout. 2024 General Election: 54.1% 2026 By-election: 38.7% That's a drop of 15.4 percentage points. Considering how politically divided Britain is right now, I find that incredibly disappointing. We're constantly hearing about how unhappy people are with the direction of this country, yet almost two thirds of eligible voters didn't bother casting their vote. Every single vote matters. If people want to see change in Britain, turning up at the ballot box is where it starts.

We caught a fraudster on the streets of Seattle as she attempted to buy a can of spam and sushi for $120 in a food stamp for cash exchange, it’s a billion dollar fraudulent scheme stealing from the poor and hungry.
